Surface changes on Hellraiser Revenge
« on: March 04, 2012, 06:44:15 AM »
I tend to have everything hook to early due to lack of tilt. I got a Revenge and had the pin drilled very high and in the heavier oil the ball wants to go to long for me. The ball finishes and carries fine but is very over order due to the lateness of the hook. The ball is to strong to throw on more of a medium condition so I thought of adding some polish to use the ball on more of a medium heavy and getting another Revenge and get it drilled with a lower pin to use on the heavy stuff. I haven't tried adding surface to get it to read earlier because I thought that might kill the backend. Has anyone else had this problem. I have my pin about 2.5 inches above the ring finger.

I got to try it again today on a fresh shot. After a few games when the lanes started to open up a bit the ball worked fine. I think I will just leave it as is and use something that hooks earlier to start with.
