Marauder FIGJAM
« on: January 19, 2013, 11:05:46 AM »
I drilled a marauder that had been sitting in the pro shop for awhile Thursday night. I was unable to throw any practice with it because the center at leagues, not a big deal, I don't practice much anymore. Had league Friday night and figured I would just throw the marauder all night just to see how it reacted. Started off with a clean 214, ball was a little squirty down lane and inconsistent. 2nd game the ball seemed to really start going left at the breakpoint and I threw 2 splits early, but threw the last 6 for 217, after moving 2 arrows left. Last game: 300!

I have never shot an honor score with a new ball the first night out in league, so it was fun to able to say that!

THANKS DV8!!! Love the equipment!

Congrats!!!  Its always cool to shoot an honor score.  BUT....its way different when you can do it right out of the box.  Just out of curiosity.....are you considering tweaking the surface at all?  I ask this because I did an adjustment to a friends Marauder and it really brought it to life.

Nice job!

I have knocked the "gloss" off several of them with excellent results. Don't be afraid to try it.

There are several Marauders on sale on ebay.  Some of them seem to be real good
deals, but some of the best deals are factory seconds, so you have to be careful.

not screwed at all my friend.  The second may just be a blem in the colour or the CG might me mismarked a bit.  Do you know what the problem is?  The ball will roll well as long as its drilled properly.
