1st off I would like to thank Brian Bever for taking the time to talk with me about these balls!
I punched up 3 dv8 balls this past week (hell raiser, reckless, misfit)
Layouts:
Hell Raiser - 4.75" pin to pap x 4" mb x 2 ( no hole)
Reckless - 5.5" pin x 4.5" (imaginary mb) x 3 (no hole)
Misfit (pink, yellow) 5" pin x 5.5" mb (imaginary) x 3 (no hole)
The hell raiser is an absolute beast. I would say this this ball rolls best on carry down, the fresh I see too much over under. This is up there with the strongest backend ball I have ever rolled .
The reckless I feel is the smoothest in the line. Out of box surface didn't like oil so I put it on the haus machine with 1000 pads for 2 minutes!! Wow what a difference this ball was dead on for the fresh.. Read the oil much better and still very continuos through the deck
Misfit gets glides through the heads with ease and still has some pop in the backend if the reckless is burning up too much
1st night of league (story time)
40 ft 2nd shift shot (switching pairs after 2 games)
---- I started out on 5,6 after practice 5 was hooking more than 6. So I started out with the reckless on 5 and hell raiser on 6. 1st ball stone 9 , off the sheet for 290. Game 2 pattern never changed same thing reckless on the left lane and hell raiser on the right and ended up shooting 300.
Now the embarrassing part.. As I stated after 2 games we switch pairs in this doubles league. 1st ball I struck then it got ugly.. I miss a little in and the ball would jump (reckless and hell raiser) I left 2 big 4s and a Greek church moving 5 left every shot. I end game 3 shooting 198. BUT comeback in game 4 after switching to the misfit and playing about 12 boards deeper than the 1st pair and this ball got through the early hook and I end up shooting 266.
I am very impressed with the roll of these balls! They definitly continue through the pin deck!!
