Addition to the bag
« on: February 21, 2013, 05:39:06 PM »
Looking to add another DV8 to the bag.  I already have a Nightmare, Marauder, and a Misfit.  I am looking for something that finishes harder when the Marauder just doesn't quite get up when I want it to.  I was thinking about the Hell Raiser but I am not sure.  My average ball speed is between 16.5-17 mph with above average hand in the ball.

Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't thrown the marauder but I have the brutal nightmare and hr terror, terror is a definite step down from the Bn in my opinion and finishes well, and like u I am around 16.5-17 on average and two hander with a lot of revs

I had 2 original hell raisers, then they cracked. The pin up one I had was def much more angular than my marauder. I think an original hell raiser or a terror would be good choices.

Has cracking been a common issue on the Hell Raiser?

Here is my DV8 arsenal so far:
1) Marauder Madness, 2)Too Reckless, 3)Misfit, 4)Marauder,  5)Terror, 6)HR Revenge.

if my Marauder is not quite not making the turn for home I will use my Terror or
Marauder Madness. Most of the time, at least for me that is not the problem

as I start off with a more aggressive ball and then ball down to the Marauder and that usually works great.

I will say this about the Marauder. I have thrown a lot of different brands of ball and so far to me the Marauder Series is one the best I have EVER used.

Those two balls just keep on winning me side-pots and brackets  8)

I guess to anwser your question try the Marauder Madness even though it comes at 4k abralon its great on a THS...good luck!! ;)
Now throwing pretty much all flavors...

With the 3 balls you have, Nightmare, Marauder and Misfit, you do have a big gap between Nightmare and Marauder.  I would go with Hell Raiser Terror.  Itll be cleaner and more angular than your Marauder and a bit stronger overall.  Check out my video site if you want to compare the 3.

I would agree with Jason by suggesting the Hell Raiser Terror. It would fit below the Nightmare and above the Marauder. The Terror has a smoother roll and finishes strong down lane. Another choice would be the Marauder Madness. With the solid coverstock, you can polish it to get more of a skid/snap reaction or keep it at the box 4000 surface to smooth out the reaction.
