Pitbull vs Ca$h
« on: October 10, 2017, 10:33:21 AM »
Just received both balls and want to figure out how they compare to each other. I know they are both top line heavy oilers, how do they differ. Im planning on keeping one 2000 or so and polishing one. Only question is which one to polish and which one to keep dull.

I would polish the cash and keep the pitbull dull as radical's equipment is designed for versatility for a variety of bowlers ' styles just my. 002 cents.

I was thinking that also. Same basic layout but one pin low under index @2000 and one pin high above index finger w/polish. Only due to my high track.

I would go with that, and that should make a good 1/2 punch.

I also dont think that polishing dv8's version of pieces would give enough consistent reaction.  Having had a number of their pieces, I experienced a lot of over/under reactions, and had better looks with a 4000 Grit pad.

Eh, I might go the other way with that. Generally speaking the Pitbull is a bit cleaner/sharper off the spot than the Cash. Keeping the Pitbull at stock and polishing the Cash would kind of bring them closer together. Of course it depends on how you drill them too, and a gritty Pitbull and polished Cash are still going to be different. Just not quite what I would feel comfortable with.

Understand your point, but again as I already mentioned dv8's equipment is already clean, and polishing over imo, could backfire, I truly believe that.

With constant designs that Phil and Mo have designed Radicals pieces, you can get almost ANY type of reaction that you seek (drilling on asymmetric, and symmetric pieces, along with surface or polish).

The op will make a decision, but to me this one makes more sense and if safer.

Albeit both companies ' are under the same umbrella, Radical in some formulate some different materials that has their pieces stand out from others, another thing to CONSIDER.

how high is your track? Those are some LONG pin distances if you are high track.

I track right next to my fingers and thumb. My pap is 5 11/16 x 1/4^. I find that pin high drilling work best and whenever I drill low pins they flare over thumb so maybe a pin in index finger to get bowtie around my finger. I'm going to remeasure my pap since my release has changed recently.

Bro, you know your index finger is the one next to your thumb, right? :)

Uh, if you're going to mock the guy, you should probably make sure you are right first.

You might want to consult Wikipedia.

Can't believe I had to Google that at 630 in the morning. I haven't even had my coffee.
