Thug Unruly vs Ruckus Feud
« on: January 18, 2015, 03:28:10 PM »
I know it's new(unruly) but has anyone had a chance to compare them side by side ? Is it that much stronger ? Worth having both ?

The Thug Unruly is going to be more versatile than the Feud. The Feud was strong on the fresh but never really allowed me to chase it in without hanging flat corners. The new Unruly offers more length and an extreme noticeable difference on the backend. The Unruly will 2-3 boards stronger overall. The Unruly will allow you to keep it in your hands longer by just chasing it in, this ball won't roll dead or flat. This one will be a real eye opener for everyone who hasn't tried DV8 yet.

The Thug Unruly retains much more energy downlane than the Feud did for me.  The Feud would usually burn up when I had to start opening up angles.  The Unruly does not lose energy nearly as easily.  The Unruly is also a good 4 - 6 boards stronger than my Feud.

I echo the sentiments of Brian and Tom.  I drilled a new Ruckus Feud, right before they announced the release of the Unruly, to replace the one had used a bunch.  I really liked the Feud because it was noticeably stronger in the backend than my Endless Nightmare.  I hadn't had a chance to throw the new Feud before I got my Thug Unruly, and now that I have the Unruly, I never want to throw the Feud again.  I don't have to work as hard or try to do so much with my hand to get it to turn over when playing way inside.  I love it.

I drilled a second Unruly the other night. I now have 45/4/70 (pin under rf w/ small balance hole to keep it legal) and one 50/5/40 (pin over rf). These two are very strong but read the midlane at different areas. The pin down revs up sooner and has more midlane with a strong backend and continuation. The "pin up" Unruly gets down the lane longer and has an even more defined break point. I do not have to be so fussy about speed or manufacturing more hook. The new Unruly is no joke!

Got my Thug Unruly and had it drilled. Not up on all the technical stuff so will post a pic to show how it's laid out. My Ruckus Feud is laid out the same way. Went to the bowling alley this afternoon so I can't vouch for the oil levels. Had to stand about 4 boards farther right with the Thug Unruly than the Ruckus Feud. Before bowling I put both balls on the spinner with a 1000 pad. The Thug Unruly was also coming up more flush in the pocket so it probably was 5 boards stronger. Think I'm going to really like this ball.

This is one ball that I want bad to compliment my DV8 lineup. Love the reviews it's getting and the color scheme looks good. Can't wait to get that tax money and have one punched up!
