Title: Which DV8 Ball
Post by: RadioActive on November 30, 2012, 12:55:34 PM
OK I am a lefty that manly likes to through down and in. Lower speed, lower revs (I have alot of shoulder, hand and back problems). I have gone from 15 lbs balls to 14.
The conditions that I bowl on are old worn wood lanes. The shot is a THS christmas tree, 40 - 45'.
So having said all that I would like to try a DV8 ball. I want one that is going to get good length with back end. So which one do I choose?

Too Reckless, Very clean through the heads, very angular down lane.

Too Reckless or Marauder would suit you very well.

I too am left handed and play fairly straight (although I am working on playing inside more).  I likely have a little more ball speed than you do and am currently using a Marauder Maddness and a Marauder as a one/two combo for THS leagues...haven't found a THS condition that these two balls won't work on in my area.

Not sure if your ball speed would allow you to benefit from the Marauder Maddness or not but the Marauder and Too Reckless would both be great choices.

+1 on both suggestions

The Too Reckless is really good if you want a true skid/snap reaction (more of a hockey stick reaction).  The Marauder will give you a bit more midlane read and won't be as angular in back (more of a hard arc motion).

If you are speed dominant, I would lean towards the Marauder as it would be less prone to blowing through the breakpoint in that case.
