I've got a few people urging me to try DV8, and the current prices on these 3 are pretty much too attractive to pass up, plus the reviews are fairly positive. Asym or not, I'm going to try one. For the proverbial medium house shot, looking for length and pop, which is still the spot missing in my bag.... Looking for feedback, and a layout suggestion for asym success for a person who hasn't had much luck in that area.

The 3 balls you named have been winners so far! The leader in my shop is the Freakshow (Pearl) is has a great look on the lane and will give you more of the shape you seem to be looking for, of the 3 you listed. If you want something with a little more pop on the back... the original Vandal has been a really good ball. It's not a super strong asym core so it seems to react a little more like a symmetric. As for layouts... the best thing to do is seek out a certified pro shop and have them assess your game.

my FSP is the closest I've come to my Intense Inferno,loved that ball.
