Dyno-Thane Knows what the Bowlers Need!

The New ELEMENT-Au79 arrived three weeks ago, and I have been on the lanes giving it a good work out just about everyday since. Let me give you some specific information that can help you judge this ball for yourself.

I drilled this ball what we call "Label Leverage" 4" X 4" with a small balance hole at 5" from the grip center threw the CG.

The New ELEMENT-Au79 comes to us with the original core as used in the first ELEMENT. The New difference is in the New Pearlized/Solid SOAKER coverstock, or what we can call a "Blended" cover. Now we get a ball that provides traction in the "Heads" or front part of the lane and forgiveness in the Mid-Lane. This combination gives us with a ball that will, Get Down the Lane, and Finish Strong with a Big HOOK!

We found this ball to cover a typical fresh house pattern with no problem! but I use the words, "Fresh" because of the strength of this ball, everyone will need some head oil to get it down the lane with energy. This is a great, first ball out of the ball to open up the lanes with.
Once this ball gets to the pocket... its "Pin Crushing Power" will do the rest!

We then rolled this ball on our Sport League pattern and this ball really FLEXED its muscle. This ball provided strong traction and even stronger hook on the sport pattern! We were amazed at its versatility!

This ball is a keeper for my bag, I know I will find many uses for it on my Sport League and on the PBA Regional Tour this summer. When it comes to typical League play, it will be a great (first game) ball to open up the lanes with. Then you will have to keep moving left to find oil, or just gear down on cover and motor to the Thing Returns.(for those of you who only us Dynothane).

As far as drilling go's, "Keep it Simple" this ball does not need any help to perform at its best. Any 2-piece drilling method can be applied to this ball with No Problem! It will be easy for any style of bowler to match-up with this one! One word of caution, If your a "Cranker" style of bowler, keep the layout on this ball very basic. Also keep in mind that this ball will require alot of head oil to work well for you.

Overall I think this is another great ball from our friends at Dynothane!
A MUST have ball if you bowl any type of "Sport League" or PBA Regionals.

WOW!! I have been using DynoThane's "The Thing" in a 15lb recently with pretty good results and decided to try the new Element AU79 in a 16lb. I'm not a technical specs kind of bowler so I don't know much about how it was drilled but I can tell you I'm very happy with the results of this ball. I'm normally only a 170 bowler but I got a 5 bagger with my first 5 throws the very first time I tried it. It hit the pocket HARD and carried great with lots of pin action. Very forgiving with both the speed and line that I threw. As long as I came anywhere close to my line and gave it a good release it found the pocket and just kept on driving. I ended up with the following games (in this order) on the first night I used it: 185, 202, 169, 234, and 201. The last two games were on a different set of lanes too. I will highly recommend this ball to anyone!!

The Au79 is clean, clean, clean!!

For those of you who actually like to push the ball up the lane and let the ball do your work.. then this is the ball for you!!

Drilled up two Au79's:
                        (1) 5 x 3 the other (2) 4.5 X 4.5

First off I used this on Pro Avalane with a 36 ft house shot.. The ball started of with an explosive turn..then quickly settled in.. I was able to push the ball out and allow its roll to pick up and do all my work.. The pin action on this ball has been let's say phenomenal!!

Next, I played on AMF with a 40 ft house shot .. a little bump with OB 3 out..
The ball became a quick bender with the ability to stand up!!

The best thing about both is that it maintains control through the midlane..
this ball is for those seeking control with power and not just back-end..
the ball is a keeper!! better thean orig element!!

I have been a Hammer man for several years, but I wanted to get a ball with a stronger skid/flip backend reaction and decided to try the Dyno-thane Au79 as Hammer just does not have anything with a good skid/flip characteristic.  This is also my first Dyno-thane ball.

Anyhow, got a 16lb Element Au79 drilled per layout 3, had to add a weight hole to make it legal.  I am a right hander with low to medium revs and medium ball speed.

First time out of the box bowled it on PBA pattern C.  This ball, with that drilling, had a nice non-violent backend break to the pocket that really shakes up the pins.  Even with a light hit this ball really gets good carry.  The first game was 221, the second was 191 (Opened in the tenth, oops)

Games 3, 4, and 5 were a different story as the oil really carried down (153, 153, 174).  This ball had great difficutly breaking to the pocket in the heavy carry down.   The adjustments to throw with a more direct line to the pocket resulted in the ball over reacting and missing left.  

On a house shot this ball has a strong consistent backend reaction and once again really shakes the pins up.  However, on the house shot, this ball is temperamental to the consistency of your ball speed and release.  It does not seem to have as much of an area to play with as some other balls.  Playing with this ball will definitely help your game get more consistent.

In all I give this ball a 8.5 out of 10  as I really liked the backend response and the pin shake up this ball gets.  I would also highly recommend this ball to others.

Drilled this Au79 with a 5x5, to complement my sheer havoc.  It complements it to the sense that it is usable when the sheer havoc is not.  really clean rolling ball, with mild bump and jump.  Due to the drilling, my track tracks over the embedded logo, causes a slight loss in reaction, but sanded down the logo, and all is fine.  Really like the way Dyno-thane is creating balls. Dyno-thane is becoming one the big boys now and this ball is a leap forward.

I finally had a chance to use this on a fairly difficult condition, and I've also given the coverstock a chance to "break-in". The pattern was similar to the PBA's "B" pattern. On a house pattern, this ball was very smooth, very controllable with very good hitting power. However, some equipment show different characteristics on more difficult patterns.

This pattern is a longer one, usually an inside line is more playable. Because of the mellow backend on this ball, I was a little hesitant to give it a try but I did anyway. While all other balls pushed thru the breakpoint, the Element revved midlane and rolled hard and continuous from the breakpoint! The carry was incredible, and this particular house had grey stripe TWISTER pins aswell (which I could never knock down before).

Considering the condition, I scored really well after switching to the Element AU79. Its a great piece of equipment, and is definitely becoming one of my favs. And it mite become one of my benchmark balls on more difficult conditions. its a keeper.

let me start by saying i was completely disappointed in the hype surrounding this ball and it made me want to never purchase a DT ball again. i say that first cause you might find yourself in the same boat, but do like i did and that feeling will be wiped away. got my gold (cause thats what Au 79 is) went into a tourny with it. that was a mistake thought that the 7 inches of flare would take care of all my worries well i was wrong. drilled it in a stack postion in order to use all 7 inches. 15 lb ball and every time i used the damn thing wouldnt work just went straight. so i took it home sanded it with a b pad came back the next day and was hesitant, but threw it anyway. the thing took of like a bat outta you know what! first couple of balls were brooklyn but once i found the pocket the pins never sounded better. the ball smashes, you come up lite, the ball smashes, hit head, ball smashes. final words get this ball and toy with it, it may not be the best thing out of the box but once you get it to adjust to you, the ball smashes.
