What can I say another hit from dynothane. I've had mine for a couple months now, and this is definitely my go to ball on heavy oil. Drill it 3 3/8 X 3, get's it into a earlier roll and still has a very good continuation on the backend, with a very readable breakpoint. Have used it on anything from your easy house shot to a sport shot. Hooks with the big boys, but at a lower price, which is nice.

I have drilled two of these balls for customers of mine.  The first is a guy with higher ball speed and nominal wrist action.  For him I went stacked leverage on this ball.  In box condition, he blew the ball through the breakpoint regularly.  I then scuffed the ball with a red scotch-brite, and then, the reaction is like that of a heavy handed player with a pearl reactive.  The combination of the skinny core, lack of revs and speed, the ball gets through the heads smooth and flips and digs on the back end.  This guy thinks I am a God because this ball hits harder than he ever imagined he could hit the pins.

The second was drilled for a player with a 90 degree rotation release, and he flat out rips it!  This ball I drilled up 4" pin with the bias between stacked and the ball track.  This one is not so good.  Not the ball's fault though.  For his game, the core of this ball does not loose rotation soon enough to consistantly grab the back of the lane.  When it does grab, stand back and cover your ears 'cause it HITS!

In all, watch out if you have a lot of hand, this ball will be spooky on most conditions.

Dyno-thane was kind enough to send our staff member - Willie Willis one of the Vendetta Particle. Willie laid it out with a 4 1/2" stacked layout, leaving the ball in the box condition from the Factory.

The ball play will in oiler lane conditions with this layout.

This Ball is very Versatile with Aggressive movement and an exceptional power punch at the pocket.

GREAT BALL.

After watching Willie throw this on a bunch of different shots, this ball rolls sweet. It is easy to read, and make a controlled move to the pocket. I am sure Dyno-Thane will release a solid reactive version of this ball someday. The Vendetta line has made everyone notice the New Dyno-Thane.

A fantastic 'control' ball for medium to heavy oil, being in the mid-price bracket makes it even more attractive.

I find the VP to be very versatile, especially on long oil patterns and carry downs. When other balls are going under/over, the VP is the one to pull out.

Being a particle ball, it reads the mid-lane a bit sooner, allow better control at breakpoint. From there it gives a continous arc, homing into the pocket.

Good work! Dyno-Thane.

I got this ball a few months ago, but didn't decide to drill it out until yesterday after selling off some of my balls from the past 2 years.  I have mine drilled (LH) with the pin at 11 o'clock and the cg centered and a weight hole at 7 o'clock 5" from my thumb.  I tried it out on synthetic with 38' of oil.  I found a NICE line standing on 20 and throwing it out to 15 to 5.  I did get my fair share of 7 pins (more practice for me!).  Anyway, the only thing I didn't like about it was that the backend reaction reminded me a lot of my Reaction Arc:  A very sharp angle once it hits the breakpoint.  I had to be very careful not to top my spin as I did twice during the night (good practice on my 10 pin ugh!).  I rate this ball a 8.5 out of 10 for synthetics.  I'm bringing it out to my league tonight (wood with 36' of oil...medium) to see how it'll do in the 1st game.  In a nutshell, if you want a backend frenzy, then this is the particle for you.

I drilled this ball 45 degrees with the pin 4 inches from my PAP. This ball is unbelievable. I like to play out, but when the lanes don't seem to call for that, I can move into the oil with this ball and really open up the lane. This ball loves to roll, however, still allows a clean read up front. The ball hits unbelievable. I have had the opportunity to use it twice, once on synthetics and once on wood. Both times the lanes called for a big move in and I picked this ball up and bowled fantastic. When those house shots are hooking too much out you can pick this ball up and move into the oil and really create a nice shot for yourself. This ball is definitely a must in your arsenal. Keep it out of the dry area and you will love this ball.

What a great second squad ball. All this ball needs is a little oil on the backends and it's one of the best balls I've ever thrown. My layout has the pin about 2" above the fingers and about an inch right of the VAL. It's about 3.5" out, and the CG is kicked out to the right by about a 1/2". The topweight is in the 2.5 to 3oz range. I have it slightly polished with the factory finish, I wouldn't say I'm a cranker but I do rev it enough to where I have to have polish on everything...

The layout carries it down the lane and the coverstock does the rest. With a little oil on the backend to keep it from burning up all it's energy at about 32 feet, it's a great ball to send down the lane. It's also mild enough to not need a ton of oil to throw. Great league ball if your in a building that believes in only stripping once a week, but versatile enough to carry to tourney's, most likely as a second squad ball. This was my first venture into Dyno-Thane and I am impressed. I haven't even mentioned how hard it hits.

Even if you do decide to throw it on strong backends, a little killing of the wrist keeps it hitting for me. If you dont have a good second squad ball to throw, this one definately comes recommended from me.

I purchased this ball new awhile back; I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for it. I wanted something to roll sooner and handle a medium through medium-heavy with carrydown shot. Its drilled pin under ring, CG kicked out about an inch past ring, weight hole on the PAP. I really haven’t seen a heavy-heavy shot, so I don’t know how it would play. Honestly, at first I did not like this ball at all; I never knew it would do, but after some time and coverstock tinkering, I’ve really started to like it. I prefer it at 600 better than the 800 out of box finish. It’s a very smooth arching ball, which helps blend out some of those tricky shots. For me, I think it carries great! But I do see a little bit better carry with light hits than flush. I like that it keeps the pins low, so I get a lot of mixers. It drives VERY hard through the pocket if you have drier backends, with a smooth move and hard hit. I really haven’t thrown it in awhile, but I just haven’t had the need to.

Some points about it:

It does like to be rolled straight up the back, dislikes side roll.

I found 600 to be its best coverstock grit.

Be careful not to throw it through its breakpoint.

Keep it light in the pocket and it WILL carry!

15lbs
3" Pin Out
Right-Handed
Bowling on Pro-Anvil Synthetics with a 41 foot top hat and stripped backends.

I had this one drilled label leverage with no extra hole.  This drilling should give me decent length with a real nice hard arc on the backend.  It did just that!  I can either play down & in, or I can swing it out and watch it come back.  Very versatile.  It will get down the lane and start a nice strong roll in the midlane and then continue right through the pins.  It saves a ton of energy for the wood which means that on light or high hits, it will sometimes carry the strike.  It is forgiving to a certain extent.  If I miss my mark by a couple of boards either way, it usually finds its way back to the pocket.  This might be the best particle ball on the market right now.  Very controllable, can handle a wide variety of lane conditions, and hits super hard.

I had this baby drilled back on Nov. 6th 2003
Since then, all I can say is "WOW"
I have primarily used this ball in all three of my sanctioned leagues this fall.  My average has risen from a 197 to around 208.

I have put over 200 games on this beauty and it hasn't lost any of its steam.  I am looking forward to purchasing a couple more and would like to put a more aggressive drilling on it.  Thanks Dyno-Thane!
