What is a review really?  Is it really an objective study of how objects collide and respond...or is it just a subjective emotional opinion made by a self perceived expert which in turn is translated and twisted into a review received either positively or negatively by the reader based on his or her own experiences and his/her perception and decryption of the words written...hmmm, I dunno.

Is the sky blue because its reflecting the ocean or is it because it is refracting incoming light from space...hmmm could be...wabbit..huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh

On with the review.

Hits like a MACK TRUCK
and i scored 300 300 301, yep a pin fell out of the setter on my 12th ball, no really
and then it died from TEC death, but I revived it though with a defribulator, I just need to remember and recharge it with a stun gun every 50 games or so.

OKOKOK, real review...hits like a 747 with the Space Shuttle on its back, hits like Brad Pitt flying round house kick in Troy, hits like the smell from Shrek's underarm pits.

I have drilled so many of these that I won't go through the trouble of describing them all.  The truth is this:  This ball will recover in the midlane and have a more angular finish on the backend than any ball that comes dull out of the box.  Period.

The medium flaring core design at work here lets this ball do all the work downlane.  Its not 'hook in a box', but this ball combats medium to heavy conditions like a champ.  One of the truest rolling balls on the market, and this ball HITS with the box surface as good or better than any ball out there.  You know a ball is good when you can put all kinds of drill patterns on them (which I have), and never have someone say that it doesn't roll good.  And, best of all, its a steal for the money.

If you have one you know all this.  If you don't, you're missing out.  End of story.  If you're thinking about a DT ball and don't know where to start, start in the Vendetta line.  It will definitely make the decision easier.  I know I say this in alot of reviews, but this is a must-have ball.  In my opinion, one of the best-kept secrets in bowling.

This was the first of the Dyno Thane balls.  Ordered it on line and received it about 3 months ago.  It was love at first roll.  The ball is strong.  It moves through the heads with consistency.  I have the pin just under the ring finger to force it long and it does with a very hard snap at the end.  Tried using this ball in a reverse block condition and it holds a good track to the pocket.  Also ordered and received the Thing Lives and together with the Vendetta, I have an arsenal that will handle just about every condition.

Drilled it up 4.5 x 3.5 with the pin very high and left about 0.75 ounces side weight.  At first, I got very good length, and then from the break point to the pins covered more boards than any ball I’ve ever thrown.  It was very impressive, but hard to control.  I brought the side weight down to 0 to rein it in a bit.  Let’s make this real simple.  I’ve been bowling for 36 years, and this is the best ball I’ve ever owned.  I bowl in a five house travel league, and this is the only ball I’ve needed to pull out of the bag.  Unbelievably versatile, dependable and reliable.  It’s just one of those balls that gives you a lot of confidence.  It struggles a bit on a flood, and there are probably better balls for a desert, but on anything in between it’s a player.  The guys at Dynothane really outdid themselves with this one.  If you don’t have one, you’re giving pins away.  And it’s not just me.  Another gentleman in our league was on the receiving end of what this thing can do, and showed up two weeks later with one in his bag.  I asked him if he’d thrown it yet, and was told that he’d just picked it up from the pro shop on the way to league that night.  First three games out of the box?  300/788 for a guy who hadn’t had an honor score in “quite a while” (his words).  The bottom line?  Good length, strong finish, hits like a truck, and you can use it almost anywhere.  And it’s even a mid price!  What more could you ask for?

Ok, I recently drilled up a Black Vendetta to replace my V2 Solid ( IMO the best Bench Mark Ball ever ). I drilled the BV with a 4 3/4 by 3 layout ( my Favorite layout ) and used 1000 surface with a little finesse. This ball is uber rolly.. just continuous roll. IMO this ball has more backend than the V2 but gives you the same motion and look.

Drilled up my first Vendetta last night.  I have drilled a couple Black Solids for customers and couldn't believe my eyes when they got on the lanes.  This has to be THE most versatile ball out there.  After seeing how strong this mid-level performance ball is I decided to put a 4.25 X 3.75 layout on the ball.  This put the pin directly above my ring finger and CG just right of mid grip and slightly above the midline.

Threw ball on 39' THS with terrible wood surface.  Ball had good length, smooth roll and unbelievable hit/carry.  Simple release changes allowed me to play any line on the lanes from the Twig all the way in to 5th arrow.  With a little more time I can see this ball replacing my Thing Returns as my benchmark ball.  There are several All Air Force bowlers who swear by this ball and they used it along with a Vendetta Particle Pearl and Barrage to win the Armed Forces Championships for the Air Force at the Team USA tournament in Reno NV.  Each player bowled 45 games over 6 days on 5 different sport patterns(between the team tryouts and Team USA) and I saw this ball in use by competitor's every day on each different pattern.  They just don't get any more versatile than that!!!

A great ball from the best kept secret in the industry.

I'm new to the Dyno-Thane Test staff,  and I must say that I could not be happier with this ball.   My layout is somewhat agressive.   The distance from pin to CG was long.  Pin is placed to the right of ring finger,  Cg is the direction of the center of my grip with an extra hole.   This is the most predictible reactive ball that I have ever used.  I bowled on a tough pattern over the weekend.  When I started,  the cover was dull.  I had a good look,  but over the span of 4 to 5 games the cover became shiny (due to the amount of oil of course) and my look improved along with the reaction.   I would consider the Vandetta Black Solid my "when in doubt" ball.

15# x-blem
pin - 3.5-4"
top weight - 2.66
drilled with Dyno-Thane #3 drilling layout, right handed

I got my DT Vendetta drilled up a few days ago, bowled a game with it after the drilling and beat my previous record, hands down. I've since bowled about 5 more games with it, and I absolutely love it. It works well on light and medium oil, and doesn't do too bad on heavy oil. It's a very versatile ball, which is what I was looking for. After using this ball, I can definately say that I will be buying more Dyno-Thane balls in the near future.

I just got this drilled up and have like the reaction I have gotten so far. I have been working with this ball on the regional pattern #5. This is the 44 feet pattern and going inside with this ball is great. Other than some carry problems I liked the overall look of this ball.
