Crisis Solid
« on: December 14, 2006, 10:50:10 PM »
I used this new shiny gem in a long tournament over the past two week. Used it about 15-20 games. I was pleased with it's overall performance, as it worked well on short/light sport oil conditions. However, the track area has become quite worn, even after so few games. Has anyone else noticed this on theirs? I understand it is a low flaring ball, but should I expect to need to resurface the ball after 30 games? Or will I see no change in the reaction and not worry about it?

I doubt very seriously that is the case. I noticed with mine after a few games the flare rings had turned white, I have seen this happen several times on other equipment, a few days later they dissapear. Unless you have a white burn mark on the bottom of the ball ( set down point) of the ball making first contact with the lane I see no problem. If you have a burn mark on the ball there can be several things causing this. No oil present when and where you are setting the ball down on the lane, setting the ball down on the line or at the very end of the approach. This burnt area is due to the high friction rate of the ball in contact with the lane, either no oil present, very little or being set down on a dry(no oil present) board

Tyler, I bet it was the lanes we bowled on... My spare ball needed resurfaced after bowling on that 32 foot Sport Shot. Great bowling in NJ Tyler, sorry my day 2 was so bad or I would have joined you.

Congrats!
