I received a 44 Magnum from Dynothane a week or so ago, and wanted to drill it tonite.

When looking in the box, I found that the drilling instructions weren't included.  I assume that I can use any standard symmetrical drilling sheet.  I think I still have one for my Vendetta ... this applies correct?  I checked the Dynothane web site, and the drilling information didn't seem to be obvious for me to find.

Second, I didn't exactly get the pin distance that I wanted with the ball.  I received a 1" pin.  How do you suggest that I can get added length with this pin.  Under the bridge?  One time (with a different ball) I put the C/G in the ring finger for a ball with a 1" pin, and put the pin over the ring finger.  I drilled the ring finger deeper to get rid of the top weight, but sometimes I swear the ball looks dead on the back end.  I don't want to do that again if I can help it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd go with Jim, he's the go to guru when it comes to D/T equipment, plus I believe Del Ballard does his drilling, nuff said. Mine ball was also less or shorter than I prefer 2" opposed to 3"+, I went with a pin under layout to keep from having to drill the extra weight out of the fingers. The ball has plenty of length (natural) guess it has to do with the 2000 grit cover, still has a very strong move on fresh backends, not jumpy just hard and consistant breakpoint.

Isnt it safe to say where the CG is in relation on the ball? Ive had some short pin balls and if i wanted a delayed reaction, just keep the cg above the center line of the grip if I could. Creating the reaction you want with the pin is more or less a left or right distinction...push it out for an arc reaction and keep it up or under the bridge for more movement off the breakpoint.
