ball characteristics

I tend to like the core from the Vendetta's but need some help on strength of cover. If compared to an Absolute Inferno and a Storm Agent where would you put the 44 mag?

Medium to medium-heavy pearls (pearl/solid mix for the 44) with very low RG cores.  Probably comparable in motion and oil handling abilities given the same surface preps.

Difficult comparison given the Absolute's almost 1000 grit compound finish vs the 44 Magnum's 2000 grit matte finish and Agent's 1500 grit polish.

I suspect Absolute and 44 Magnum are not far apart, overall.
I suspect Agent will skid further and backend more due to cover and core.

I'd check BTM's reviews & compare Absolute and 44 magnum. If you can't and want me to, drop me a line.

with the MAg's cover it makes it very tunable to what ever condition you need it for, with the exception of dry the cover is way to strong for dry conditions.

Agent
Ball Finish 1500-grit Polish
Radius of Gyration 2.47 (Low)
Differential .055 (High)

Absolute
RG Max: 2.513”
RG Min: 2.463”
RG Diff: 0.050”
Finish Rough Buff

Magnum 44
Finish: 2000 Smooth
R/G: 2.460
Differential: 0.042

They are all very close.  If they had all the same prep, you almost might not be able to see the difference.  Magnum will be less expensive and probably more controllable overall.

Can't speek to the Absolute...but I have an Agent and a couple 44-Magnums.  Based on what I've seen of the two balls you can expect a little more drive / energy retention from the Agent.  Given the drillings that I have on each I actually use the Agent to get into the lane and bounce off of the dry.  The 44 Magnum (like most Vendetta's) are about control so I tend to use the 44 to decrease my angle of attack, control spottier conditions or drier backends.

So I guess you could say the Agent and 44-Magnum are a 1-2 punch in my tournament bags.

I already knew all the specs and advertised numbers but always look to some help on performance by real world involvement.  Goof thanks that was my thought on Agent vs 44. I am thinking about a 6 ball arsenal for young friend who throws like myself (moderate speed, low axis tilt and med axis rotation, higher track) That core type has been very consistent across many conditions just putting together some various shells for breakpoint control and reaction shape. Appreciate all input. Jim, I liked your comment but you can make marbles look good going down a lane.

Absolute is 220 grit+ Rough Buff just like all Brunswick Rough Buff Finish balls

Since you're taking a rubbing compound to a 220 grit surface, once you're finished, you no longer have anything close to a 220 grit surface. So it's irrelevant where you started. The final finish is as close to a 1000 grit copound finish as you'll see.
