Why do pros only use the Vendetta line?
« on: March 25, 2004, 07:11:48 AM »
I saw the pros for the first time on Thursday of the World Championships
and I noticed that the D/T users only used the balls from the Vendetta
line although I saw an Anomaly in one bag and I did spot a Thing (which
wasn't used)?

I just bought my first resin ball, the red/black Vendetta and notice that
Steve Jaros still goes to it when he's confused. Most use the new VPP and
I saw some use of the black Vendetta. I bought the ball because it seemed
like a great value for a league bowler like me (and it is!). However, I
thought the soaker coverstock, the Thing, Thing Returns and Element would
be used more by the best bowlers in the world. Why don't they?

Hoskins was using a Thing Returns on Wednesday of qualifying...but aside from that, .......I agree with Logan........it's the smoothness, and predictability they can get out of them.......

I guess for the same reason that Ebonite pro's mostly throw V2's: predictable power.  They don't need any help from the souped-up cores in the TOTL balls.
