Centrifugal Mass: Heavy oil ball??
« on: December 05, 2005, 01:39:43 PM »
Is this ball designed for heavier oil patterns? I am thinking abiut getting one and was just curious as I am not up to speed on the newer Dynothane stuff..

Any comments from owners of this ball would be appreciated..

j,

although I don't own one....it's a strong mass bias ball with a strong coverstock, you can drill this ball to do just about anything, so yes, if you wanted , it could easily be for heavy/heavier oil.

The strong mass bias will allow you to fine tune and shape the shot as you wish ....so heavier oil would be a strong pin position w/ an ealier roll mb location...proper cover prep ....and you're ready to rock!

Sit tight for more D/T gurus,....but just from the strong mass bias ball point of view...I'm going to say yes !

CM is definately got the power for heavier patterns...that's why Dynothane came out with the ball.  The conditions on tour dictated that they introduced a strong asymmetric ball to help the staffers combat the conditions.

Personally I utilize a Pure Energy for my oil lane ball, though I can totally see where the CM would be better in true heavier conditions.  I just never seem to see them...that's why I had to adjust the surface of my CM to a polish to help it store energy.

There is no doubt it handles heavy oil patterns. I see more heavy oil where I bowl even though it still is a hs, but flooded in the middle with a buff of 42 ft. I could not keep it in play until I took the surface up to 1500, burnt up to soon with anything less.

I agree. I use my Cm to complement my EPX - T1. When I need a 3 wood .. The CM is the ball.
