I saw the site was updated both new balls look great.

Crisis soild looks like the Dr. Jekyll core or is it just me.

And the new core pictures leave quite a bit to be desired as well.  Who drew those?  The core pics from their earlier balls, even the post-C300 44, 357, and T-hold looked better.

I agree that the Crisis Solid looks strikingly similar to Dr. Jeckyl.  And the Ne10 core looks like the Messenger core.  The same "Inverted Element" core looks different in the ZR40.

Nope, it's from the Hyde:

NE10 and the Element series cores were from the Storm Bolt series. Here's the Sky Bolt:

What's up with using an available core that works?

I think that's quite obvious.
I've been using the Crisis Pearl lately and I can tell you it works. From all reports on the Crisis Solid, many people seem very satisfied with it. So I'd say those balls were successful; so the core selections seems to have been the right one.

The numbers are different than the Hyde.

The Crisis Solid has a diff of .030, which is a lower flare ball.  Not sure how similar the covers are though.

Maybe closer to this?

This is the first one I can remember with this shaped core in it, and it is from 2000, 6 yrs ago:

Was thinking of getting the crisis solid.  Not much reviews.  Anybody got any constructive feedback on it?

Other guy,

No complaints on the core here, just other examples.

Actually, the solid crisis is one ball I have been strongly considering.  The old book in our shop ( not my shop, just the one I buy at ) shows it not released yet ( old book ) with the same core as the pearl crisis had.  I like this core better than that one and think it will work great. I am actually MORE interested than before, now that I know the core geometry for sure.

I also agree with your notion that a core needn't be obtusely asymmetrically shaped to have great rolling characteristics.  I think people tend to take a good idea and try to improve on it to much, sometimes to the point of ruining it alltogether.

The K.I.S.S. principle.  Thank goodness for people that agree.

This is the Rock Star core.  I liked that ball, very even arc and good hit.  I didn't use it much since I went to all 15 lb not long after I got it.  Been looking for a replacement for a while.

I might try the Crisis.  I have had pretty good luck with my other Dyno equipment (Vendetta, Thing, Thing lives)
