This isn't the official photo, but since we don't have one yet I thought I'd take a quick photo of the staff ball I got.

I was hoping that the ball would still look like the original one that got nix'd. Can't wait to see mine show up!

is this a "new" addition or did this replace the original Crisis?

It's new,...just hit the streets, the picture is close,..but the ones I got are a shinier red pearl,..drilled 2 this weekend,...WOW. Finally a ball to combat the dreaded hooking track, that will still corner and hit. These balls clear the fronts with ease when the heads go,..rev up like a Dodge-Hemi on av-gas, and seek out the pocket with plenty of energy to spare. With my medium speed and early release I've had trouble playing deep, and finding a ball that I didn't have to try and muscle through the heads. The Pearl Vendetta shell, with the Crisis big weight block is a great match up for a ball that won't jump off the dry early. I was very surprised at the way the ball keeps coming around the corner without having to try and ovethrow the ball through the fronts. I have one drilled 5 1/2 x 4, pin over the bridge, with a small hole 6" over on the VAL to get the sw down to 3/4 oz. This one is long and strong, lets me stay to the right longer, and creates a great entry angle. The second one is a 4 x 5, pin just out side of the ring, no holes. A little earlier mid lane read, and this ball really chases the oil line as the lanes transition. Instead of moving 3-4 boards at a time like I usually had to do,..now if I leave a 4 pin, a simple one board shift works fine. This ball needs some traction to perform,...it seems to work best when the midlanes are breaking down,..and or the backends are really flying...naturally on a lot of oil this ball probably won't be effective because of the shell/weightblock match-up. But if you are looking for a ball that will let you play in the dry and transition, without having to throw harder, or change your game I think this ball will fit nicely...jim ****1/2 stars five is tops.

Yeah, the original Crisis is still in the active line of equipment. It will be sent into production as demand requires.
It's a keeper of a ball. How many other ball companies have a resin ball that's 4 years old? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The Crisis is indeed a special ball. If you're heavy handed, get two or three of them and you can cover anything but long oil, if you have a soft hand you have an excellent control ball for a THS and drier track areas. IF they're still making it, why is it do hard to find? Alot of online shops don't even carry it or will give you a lengthy waiting time for them to order it. I know our distributors don't carry them either and we have to special order direct from the plant(I think) or get them from a midwest distributor.
That is a pretty ball. Reminiscent of the Red Wolf pearl.
