Anyone tried the Cabretta's yet?
« on: July 19, 2006, 07:54:31 AM »
I need new shoes soon and I was gonna get the Tour Ultras again. Now I've been looking at the new Cabrettas and they look sweet. What are the differences in them besides the type of leather. Anyone tried them yet?

In addition to the leather, the TUs have the cleat sole and it looks like they have more accessories.  I don't use the form keepers or the shoe horn, but the other stuff is pretty nice.  Bag, shoe covers, and I guess if I have to use the cleat sole at some point, the cleat pick is nice too.  The value of those things is up to you.  If you've got shoe covers, that the TUs come with them is moot.

I have the black/silver TUs and they're very nice.  I paid Buddies' price for the Cabrettas for my TUs, too, so it wasn't any more expensive.

Are the cabrettas as comfortable as the tu's?

the only big difference I see is the elites required about a 5 to 7 game break in, the leather is just a touch stiffer than the kangaroos. options are different as well but that is personal preference.

Can someone tell me how the Cabretta's run size wise? Are they close to your normal shoe sizes or do they runa little smaller and bigger? Thanks.

I wear a size 9 1/2 New Balance and the TU's and the Shufflers are the same size, just a tad bit wider than my street and tennis shoes, excellent comfort and really a "styling" shoe.

My Tour Ultras feel like bedroom slippers and perform like no other bowling shoe I ever owned.  You can't miss with a pair of the TUs.   FRAN

I have a pair of the Tour Ultras and the Sport Ultras - both are great shoes.  The TUs are lighter with the extra cleat soles and the Sports Ultras just a tad wider, but still very comfortable.  I didn't know that the Cabrettas were coming out until I saw them at my local pro shop.  I'm quite perturbed because as much as I like my Sport Ultras, the Cabrettas are just too sweet.  They seem just a tad heavier than the Sport Ultras (maybe it's because of the sheepskin leather) with the same accessories.  They also seem to feel a tad wider than the TUs.

DAMN - I just might have to get these also.
