Hmm, I seem to recall Newguy saying he wasn't going to release any Vendettas with a soaker cover. Looks like he changed his mind. And a very nice looking ball, too.

I remember his saying that also: that the Soaker was too expensive to put into the Vendetta line of balls, but then Phil does change his mind on some items, like mass bias core technology.

The Vendettas are a mid-price ball and to put Soaker on one would make it a high-end ball.  Now walk into a shop and see a Vendetta 44 Magnum on the shelf for $150, a Vendetta 357 Magnum for $150, and a Black Gold Vendetta for $220.  Explain to the customer why one is so much more expensive.

I'm sure it'd be a great ball, you just couldn't call it a Vendetta.  The Vendetta brand is mid-priced.

Don't believe it, then.  I remember him trying to sell that ball a while back, and the ebay store it's listed under is his Leading Edge Pro Shop.

You should probably tell Steve so he doesn't put "Next Generation Soaker" in the listing.
