Element-Very early impressions

And I mean, very early....about 5-6 games on it w/ carrydown.....during my lesson on Saturday, and 4 games today .....

THS , open bowling carrydown, so fairly sloppy backends.

I didn't notice this on Sat. because I was paying attention to my lesson, but today, I have 3 words to sum up my Element...

Touchy, sensitive, and sensitive!  WOW.....any tiny little change in my release (and mind you, that's a HUGE part of my game I'm working on now, so my release is poor at best) ....and it showed BIG time !  

I got totally different reactions out of the slightest change (or should I say inconsistency ) in my release......

Nice rolling, hard hitting, pin mixing reaction at the deck.  And when thrown right, it's deadly and you can tell immediately....

Like I said, too soon to tell, but wanted to share my initial thoughts....

REVS.....sounds like your test is going to be pretty hard. I hope the ball passes in the long run.

Hey EX,.....don't get me wrong,...the condition I was on today was SLOP,....it'll be interested to see how it works on something with more backend, ...i.e.; during warmups for Tues nite.....We'll see

Jeff, did you say the ball was new when you got it? Mine was and the reaction just sucked! LOL! A little oil in the cover and a bit of track wear is bringing the reaction 'on-line'....er...something like that. It is still a bit sensitive but.......I am starting to get the good 3 board margin of error I had with the Blueberrys. I also find I need to come off the side a bit. Staying behind the ball forces me to 'split boards' every shot. Thats just me though. All in all, this is a fantastic ball! Good luck with yours.

In time you will love that ball, I got one about a month ago and have put about 25 games on it. I absolutely love it, It is my go to ball. I have shot some big games and series with this ball. Mine loves the oil and the carry on it is great.

...ok, well maybe not THAT touchy !!!

UPDATE:
3 more games......actually more like 4 or 5 more because of practice before league, but anyhow......

I used this last night on my mens league shot, super wet/dry light buff 35+ medium heavy on AMF synths.

I used my Fuel last week and really enjoyed the read I got.....so I took the Element this week to compare it during practice.....they both played the same line I was throwing, but the Element read just a touch sooner (pin out, + the thumb quadrant axis hole) and because of this gave me a slightly better read. The Fuel played the same line but had just a tad more at the back,...while the Element was smoother or earlier rolling, it was still strong!

Both were hitting great, but I noticed a couple extra nice messengers from the Element.....I went with the Element and let me tell you.....I think I like it !!

With 'this' drill (I know, I know, it's a rolling ball already) but it does pick up early but doesn't over react and reads the lane nice.  I didn't have to hit it at all, the dry on the pattern helped it if needed....and when I released it real nice,...freakin' look out...it read, rolled, and HIT !

I'm looking forward to trying it on another pattern and another house as soon as possible.......

Just a little more info for the D/T heads.....

oh, by the way.....like Rags said,...it'll do what you tell it to do....

Now that sounds like the reaction I got out of it the few times I threw it. Did you keep the drill the same?

mine was really used when i got it and it stil is going strong.. i say dull it just a lil and it is a GREAT ball when there is enough head oil to keep her goin. I LOVE MINE, traded a deuce for it and i would do it all over again

I have had the Element for a while and did not like it at first. If I put any side roll to it, it is touchy, once it hits the dry, it is turning left which is good if the ball is already in the pocket, LOL. However, I am beginning to like it now. I try to throw end-over-end or roll it as Rags said and it is very controllable and there is no question about the power of this ball. It is comparable to the Lane 1 balls in hitting power. I drilled my Elelment about 4 X 2 and I am not sure if this is causing the touchiness. I read in BTM that balls drilled with the C.G. kicked out have a sharper breakpoint and my experience with both my Element and Crunch (which I bought from Tenpinspro, shameless plug? LOL) proved this. Of course, balls with MB are different as the CG is not a factor with balls that have a Mass Bias. Just thought, I would share this.

P.S. Lane 1 balls are different, I get a skid-snap reaction with a 1:30 drill on Lane 1 balls but a nice arc with balls drilled 10:30. This is one reason, I do not drill my Lane 1 balls with the label drill.
