The first pair I bought were in 2002 black s-3002. The shoes were great and finally I purchased a new pair July 2004 model s-3003. One issue I was hoping to be resolved was the short life of the rubber heel. I used the dimpled and radial heels and they do not hold up at all. After about 60 games on these heels have flat spots. Don't get me wrong the shoes are great except for the short life of the heels. Also, I like to see a variety for the soles. My only issue is that I need a sole between the deer skin and oiled leather.

The initial shoes were basically exactly the way they were sold in Japan. Since then we have made some changes to the line and options. We changed materials on all the heals except the gray heal. The grooved heel is available as an option as is the leather heel and the adjust-a-heel. We have improved on the durability since the inception of the product. Hope this helps.
