Interesting story,
I was bowling last night in a summer pba challenge league where there are some senior pba bowlers and some other regional players, and it was brought to my attention by one of the senior bowlers that my ABS Tour Ultra shoes were causing him a problem. Apparently he claims my slide sole which was the one with the dimples like a golf ball, was leaving a sticky residue on the approach which was making him stick. This sticking went on all night. He told me that if this were a pba tourney I would have to remove my shoes since they were causing him problems.
WHAT IS THE REAL RULE ON THIS?
I find it hard to believe that shoes registered, and approved by the pba, abc would be illegal and subject to ejection if a bowler claims they are leaving something on the approaches.
Just to note, this is one of those guys that always complains and has trouble with the approaches. I told him it was not my shoes that was causing him problems but his poor footwork and balance at the line.
