Dynothane Epoxy?
« on: September 20, 2005, 10:19:42 AM »
I was just wondering about the R&D for such a ball... Seems like durability issues are abundant at C300 over this new cover... Newguy or Otherguy, are we waiting to see how it pans out in San Antonio? AMF launched their Epoxy ball in Asia... seems subliminal to me... Anyway, I was on leave today catching up on my surfing... LOL.

I do believe they have some patents pending on the formula and or process. We need to look at the durability and performance before we invest in pursuing that avenue. For now we will stick with the consistent best value balls ont he market.

I kinda figured that on both accounts... The newest Vendetta particle balls are INCREDIBLE btw... I missed out on the Black and the first solid particle... Does the Pure Energy use the same "True Grit" particle?

Thanks for taking the time with your customers... A lot of companies don't do this.

How anyone would need balls that hook more than what DT already has now, I cannot say.

There are already so many (expletive deleted) people who say my "mega-hook" ball is not hooking enough SOLELY because they have not a clue as to what degree of oil on which they are bowling and have no idea how a ball should be reacting. They're using balls, like the Pure Energy, on conditions which call for a Vendetta pearl!
Oy vey!

AMEN! I watched a guy try to finesse a stacked leverage Storm Vertigo in box finish last night on a 37 ft sport shot... It was freakin' hilarious... It was practically hooking at the arrows and Dufus complain all night on what a disappointment the ball was. I just watched until the 36th frame (I was bowling him... heh heh heh)

Whats worse is that the proshop jerks sell these types these balls.  I found it rather amusing when I walked into a local center and found the scratch league leader in average for the house bowling next to me.  He was ripping the pocket with a columbia SCOUT reactive.  I walk into the proshop and no lie here, the least aggressive ball I see sitting in the pile waiting to be drilled is the Hammer Blade Solid. I was taking my Too Hot in to have it polished up a little, b/c it was reading too early for me.  The proshop guy and I started shootin the bull a bit about balls, and come to find out there was a guy with a brain running the shop!  He asked me what I had in the bag, I told him I had the Element and the Vendetta Particle with me and an Anomaly, messenger TEC, messenger pearl...ect at home he looks at me and says "I've never seen you bowl in my life, but I know by what you are bringing to me that you know more about bowling than 98% of the ppl that bowl here"  He says its litterally IMPOSSIBLE to talk ppl into the ball they need, they all read the "hook rating" and want the biggest.  Its so funny to me to watch the leader in the house with a 239 avg (cupcake shot and rediculas carry) walk in with a Scout and plastic and dominate the guys hurling track's ball of the week. I can't honestly find a reason to own a ball that has more hook POTENTIAL than anything dyno offers, in fact I wish there was something weaker out there, but thats me.  Its really a marketing ploy, you have to have the biggest ball out there GO BUY IT! I say grow some balls i mean hand and throw a "medium" solid reactive out there on the "heavy oil" and you will still have enough. its just nuts how much ppl are expecting the ball to do and get so disapointed when it burns up in their backswing. I LOVE bowling against these guys, laugh all the way to the bank.
