Dynothane Special EFx . . .
« on: January 10, 2005, 04:05:41 AM »
Anyone have any info about this ball?
Is it from 1996 or so? Resin? Plastic?

TIA,

There were two actually one solid resin and one pearl resin.
Solid was released in 96 and the pearl early 97 but don't quote me on the dates.

Why are you asking about this ball...got a line on one?  Would be interested in it if you do!  Great ball for what it's worth!

There is also another Concept ball...the Concept XXtra Swirl.  I still throw this one, but with the emminent weight drop to 15 it will be getting shelved sooner than later.

Duke, if you get a chance to get one of these pick it up. I bought one seven years ago from my boss and the ball had three games on it. The ball is great on medium to light oil. Lots of energy stored for the back end and the pins scatter off the deck. I shot 300 with this ball about a year ago and I usually have this ball in my bag. A very good older ball from DT.

It's being auctioned on eBay...I really want the Gold Pin, not the ball, so much...

Well if you win the auction drop me a line about the ball.  If it's a 15 I'm interested in it.

I had a Special Ef/X pearl for a brief time. Even with  a label drilling, about a 2" pin, it was the rollingest pearl I've ever thrown. I'm getting a new AU79, so that may be more rolly (read: even and early) than the Special EFX, but to date, that was the most even.

Auction ended at $64.09. The ball was 16#, Wayne Webb used it at the Bash at the Beach, had low number of games.
