Dynothane
« on: October 07, 2016, 10:20:10 AM »
Azo's Facebook changed its name to Dynothane...

Does this mean bowlers Mart is going to release dynothane balls too?

The last I thought, ebonite owned the brand.

If u Facebook search dynothane bowling you'll see what I'm talking about. Multiple posts about new equipment, etc.

Website is getting revamped too.

In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

It looks like bowling ball.com but could still be BowlersMart

That Vendetta looks sexy on the page

I thought Storm owned it...

That was 10-12 years ago.
It was part of Columbia300 when Ebonite International bought the whole company. DT was relegated to overseas release only, since then.

Doom -

Storm did own it at one point, but I believe Phil C (900 Global) bought Dynothane from Storm and for a period of time, Storm produced Dynothane balls for Phil. Phil eventually took Dynothane production to Columbia 300 and Phil became a manager with Columbia Industries....then Columbia was purchased by Ebonite, and all brands under the Columbia umbrella went to Ebonite. For a period of time Ebonite continued to produce some Dynothane labeled balls for overseas bowlers......

Haven't heard much of Dyno in the past few years...

They appear to be hyping up some really good classics.  Be interesting to see if any new balls come out too.

These were part of the line before.

Yep, they have just been sending out fillers of the old classics. They keep saying we will know more in a couple of weeks...

I think Ebonite is just pouring, I don't think they have an ownership stake

Yeah this is the same type of licensing deal that azo was.   Either way they probably won't sell.  I managed to get my paws on a few of the azos they produced. Storm covers, old columbia cores.

Now for dynothane... the spark seems better than that new vendetta...Didn't care for that arson core...But the old doom raw hammer? That'll sell in the spark.  Curious to see what their high end ball might be...

HUNH?
Has Ebonite who owns DT since the Columbia takeover in 2007-ish, stopped selling DT balls overseas??

When Ebo took over, Columbia and Track were continued as USA brands and Dynothane balls were sold only overseas, as far as I know.

I suspect that when the recent spate of AZO balls did not sell, Bowlers Mart asked Ebo to make some DT balls for them to sell here in the USA. I believe Bowlers Mart, which as of right now, seems to be the only internet seller marketing Dynothane balls, is the instigator in all this, but I could be wrong.

It appears as mentioned to be a similar situation to azo. Bowlersmart trying to make a run of equipment exclusive to them.

I'm interested in a Vendetta because of the core, and color. The chances of this going any different then the AZO stuff is pretty slim.
