Saw the bowler's journal pic, definitely looked pretty sweet.  Hard to describe though.

bowlingballreviews.com has a small pic up.  You can sort of see the color scheme of it.  It doesn't look like anything I have seen before.

looks slightly like the gold and purple of the RG Rush:
http://www.rotogrip.com/balls_rush.aspx
The amount of the two colors on any one production ball can vary widely.

charlest,

I'm sure it won't even be close....the Rush (sorry Roger and Hank) looks like a "flower power" 60's hippie puked on it !

Fuscia and a dark lemon color.....it's hideous! At least mine is!

I love it though

they've been asking what it looks like not how it performs. I meant both are yellow and purple.

Oh, I know, I'm just referring to the picture on the Roto site you posted, ..that one makes the ball look good!! The colors are NOT like the picture...it's fuscia and a funky dark lemon yellow,...like pie filling colored!

Doesn't anyone think that the colors are a slight improvement over the original Element?  lol

I'll be all set once I figure out how to get this ball to throw itself.

About the same as mine, but I still think the Element Au79 is an improvement.

just finished bowling 9 games of qualifying in a SASBA scratch doubles in Ft Worth, Tomorrow is 18 games of Baker...games were 224-239-193-300-225-242-259-268-279,.....2232for9=248..300 and last 3 were 806....with the new Element Au79..that's the first 9 games on it....playing 20 to 13, lots of carry down and a dryish track. drilled pin over the bridge, cg under the ring just above the midline...no balance holes....This ball has the most carry power coming around the corner on mega carry down I've ever thrown...I could have sold 20 of them easy....bedtime,...gotta bowl early in the morning....we're in first place...

sea...that was one of those "coulda..shoulda..woulda" games,..an almost dutch 200 where one lane is being stupid,..and ya try and strike on the stupid lane and oops,...4-9 in the tenth...
We just finished up today. Me and my partner finished second,...bowled for the title but the evil that is Baker reared it's ugly head and the other team beat us the last game for the win...had a blast. Won some cash,..and really gave the Au79 a work out..This one is a keeper..!!

we started on fresh-flying backends. What was hard for me the first few games was to visualize what this ball would do on the backend..There was no hold at all, forget that. So everything had to be on target or firm and right of target because of the amount of turn this ball generates...BUT,..once the backends start to soften, and hold a little, this ball smoothes out and flat whacks'em,...the best part was when the mids dried up I could get left of everyone else, play deep,..and still get the ball to corner and carry...What I like about this ball is the match between the weight block and surface. The pearl lets me keep control with out having to keep throwing harder,..and the big weight block helps push the ball through the fronts...This is defintely earned a spot in the Reno bag,..and I'm only taking 3 balls and a spare ball will be one...

I hate to recommend anything for someone without seeing them bowl..with his "very little axis rotaion" a big backend may be wishful thinking...Gary Dickinson bowls with us all the time,...and his ball rotation is very forward, and never has a big back end. He seems to use ball surfaces to change his looks,..rather than fancy drilling...and he's great.  He may want to look for a ball that has a flip block or big weight block, semi to shiny surface, and a 3-3 1/2" pin or more so that the drilling will allow for some flare..The Thing, Thing Returns, Anomaly or Element (with a little shine) or the new Au79 all fit this profile....his style would determine what I would suggest, maybe a few minutes with a pro shop guy that could see him bowl would help..
