Dynothane Sport Shot Drillings
« on: October 21, 2004, 02:14:00 AM »
I have a 3 Dynothanes already drilled a TR, Anomaly and VPP please see my reviews of those.

Specs: PAP >5 ^0.5, speed at breakpoint (when I am concentrating…) 15 mph, medium tilt, medium-high revs. I play anywhere the shot makes me… will stand 30 to 10 to score ('cause chicks dig the big numbers... LOL).

VPP:
.........O O  o   Box Surface, no hole, go long arc/sm flip

...........cg

..........O

TR:
...............o
............O O      Box surface, no hole, long skip/flip

..................cg

.............O

Anomaly:
........O O     Box surface, sm hole on val w/0 pitch, hard arc/w continuation
...........o
.............cg

.........O

I have Dynothane’s TL, AU79 and VPearl seed balls (all have 2-3 pins, ~3 oz top, NIB) to fill in a 6 ball arsenal for Sportbowling Tourneys/AF Championships/Team USA/Hi-Roller. League is organized practice for me and my team members. Open bowling for me is for working on only one thing at a time. Like backswings, pushaways, etc.

Anyone have ideas of patterns for those seed balls to cover the above events? Thanks guys.

Capt,..looking at what ya got, ya might think about something that rolls earlier, for lots of oil or up the boards. Those all have the word long in them. I'd look at the Brunswick or Ebonite drilling instructions for some patterns you might like. jim

Denny Torgeson had a nice article on sport layouts for the different types of sport patterns in BTM this last year.  Take a look if you subscribe and check back issues.  It was in the last 12 months.

Brunswick symmetrical drills... Would a Thing Lives with "Rev Leverage" do the trick?

Scott 33, Dec 03 BTM has a great chart for suggested ball set ups it just isn't detailed enough... I was looking for actual drill patterns as I stated above to jimensminger. I was surprised that link turned out to be informative. All Dynothanes are all symmetrical core balls, so I am having to rethink all my setups since switching from Storm's mass-biased balls. Thanks to both of you.
