Factory surface on the original Thing
« on: October 28, 2004, 11:36:48 PM »
Hello all, I was wandering if someone could tell me what the factory surface was on this ball and what kind of polish Dynothane uses on there ball. Thanks for the help.

Factory surface is 1000 grit polished, but I have no idea what kind of polish D/T uses.  Unless Tony knows, you'll have to wait for "the guys" to get back to Austin from the Masters.

It's just a guess, but since Storm manufacturers them, I would guess they use Storm's polishes.  A light coat of Xtra Step 1 for the matte/low shine balls, or a coat of Xtra Step 2 for the shiny ones?

Strider's guess is as good as any, until we hear it straight from the horse's mouth.

And don't call me Shirley!

cooksey--Phil/new guy was at The Masters this past week.  He'll probably answer sometime this week.
