BAD Engery's
« on: April 18, 2005, 06:57:06 AM »
I just ordered my Engery from Buddies and got it drilled up . The ball seems to be very weak for what everyone says it should be. I was just wondering that maybe it could be a bad one. How would I know if it was a "bad" ball?
thanks

From what's been said on the forums here all of the "duds" were supposed to be accounted for and pulled from the market.

Took mine down to 320 and a light coat of polish.

Works well now on medium medium/light,but you have to clean it every five frames or so.

And THAT'S one of the GOOD ones?   WHAT did the BAD ones do?

The duds from the first batch have all been accounted for, unfortunately some more duds have been found in later batches and I don't think anyone is sure what serial numbers these are. Myself and a friend of mine both got "duds" back in February, but now they have been replaced we are both very impressed with the strong reaction of this ball. The only way to resolve this issue is to speak to Dynothane who have been excellent in dealing with any enquiries.

Don't forget that in box condition the ball is designed for medium to medium-light oil patterns! If you have less than average hand and are using it for medium oil AND IF you have the pin above the bridge, it will appear weak! Take all factors into account.

I heard that Storm screwed up and made the covers urethane for the first batch. Then in the second batch they screwed up again by making an even weaker urethane cover. Just what I heard.

I have been talking to the Dt guy and im sending him the serial number from my energy. Even on second shift, my energy seemed to extremely long and straight.
I had to literally rip the cover off the ball to get it to move to the pocket playing up 10. I really hope this isnt a "bad" energy becuase i have a tourny sat and sunday.

Unfortunetly, i did get a bad energy, but Other Guy aka Billy was a nice guy and is gonna hook me up with a new one that will hopefully act like everyone says it does.

I got one of the bad ones and Dyno Thane replaced it and the new good one has so much backend, you'll be amazed what it does in the last several feet!
