High Energy...smooth roll
« on: April 25, 2005, 12:34:27 PM »
I drilled my High Energy....Let me say it opened up the lane far more than my Energy did. The best thing about it is that it allowed me to recover from a wider angle than my original Energy. They will however match up to each other.

The brusier black and green gives it really nice look.
I will give some more details on it later tonight!!

By the way!! it does make a strong move to the pocket!

both my Energy and High Energy are drilled pin under ring finger with cg kicked to 1 oz side before drilling and taking back to zero after XH.

The high Energy read about 2 foot sooner but made a much more sweeping move to the pocket. The main difference was that on the particular shot I was playing it made the finish and drive. My Energy died just a bit.

Board wise I had about a 7 board recovery difference between the two!!

Dyno Daddy,

Don't take this wrong but are you sure that your original Energy is one of the good ones and not one of the bad ones? If you've got a good one and the High Energy is still bigger on the backend and gives more recovery... then WOW!

I have had a couple of Energy's. I also have shot 799 with a good energy and 800= with a bad energy. Both moved on the lane but the bad one just burned up after 150 games......

How in the world have you had time to put 150 games on the ENERGY? You must really be doing some bowling.

so you can imagine how many games it has on it....whats funny is a friend/co-worker  has used all my balls since he was a junior....its the only way we can get a true look at different styles....

After rolling my HE more this weekend. I have found that on three different house shots..The HE prefers the longer of the 3 (40 ft).
When using on short oil...it recovered like MANNNNN!! but the 9 pin calls my name........

I know that I will drill another and polish it up a bit and use the 2 HE and the Energy as my upper balls and the vendetta line as my utility balls

I have a TL Label Leverage w/3in pin-to-pap for my all-purpose medium benchmark ball. It just rolls up heavy and a stacked leverage AU 79 with a 600 surface that I have been using on the heavy mediums or when I need help on the carry down.

I need to position an Energy, a High Energy and another TL around those 2 balls... I feel I already have dry-lt medium covered with a "weakly drilled" CP (pin up, on grip line and cg 1/4 oz negative side) and a very tame VP (pin down, on grip line, cg on grip line), and lastly a TR pin over ring cg kicked out for major skid/snap all polished to 2000.

Ideas?

I was thinking the TL could be drilled like the AU79 only add some surface and polish back up the AU79 to box... would give me 2 high flares in different lengths. Energy pin up and cg kicked out an inch (darn USBC...) High Energy drilled label leverage 4inch pin-to-pap.

would you say that there is enough difference between the energy and high energy to invest in both of them? they'll probably have similar drills, but would the difference of polish/dull be enough to justify buying both?

I would say that certainly with only minor surface adjustments. I already have all 3 balls NIB... Message sent Matt.
