If you could create the next Dyno-thane ball...
« on: January 20, 2004, 01:42:19 AM »
What would it be?

I was asked if the Anomaly was particle, which I thought would be an idea. A heavy load particle Soaker Anomaly, I'me sure someone would want that.

I've thought up the idea of the Thing with the Barrage coverstock.  I think core is nice but with the Barrage coverstock it might fit my med-dry lanes needs before I have to pull out my Barrage itself.

What about the idea of a strong plastic ball?  Something that would compete with the Lane 1 XXXL?  Hmmm...

Any idea you guys have?

Tony,

Barrage coverstock with the Thing's core?
Not bad, but how about the Barrage coverstock with the Vendetta's core?
OR
even better:
the Barrage's cover in solid resin, rather than pearl, with the Element's core!

drool, slobber, drool ...

There seems to be a big hole between the barrage strength and the strength of the crisis and vendetta pearl. Crisis is a low RG that starts fairly soon. How about a higher RG version with about the same cover strength. Other than that a med or high loading particle ball. Give us something to compete with the Phenoms, Fear Factors, etc. The Anamoly is not it. The holes are very small in Dynothanes lines for not being a ball of the month club. Thats why Phil is the one of the best in the industry. Good luck and if you need to test any wild seed balls (especially for oil)us northern boys would be more than willing to help out in any way.

Lefty,

How many people truly need a ball like the Phenom?

So far my Anomaly at 1000 grit is an awful lot of ball, and the Vendetta Particle is very early grabbing ball. Cover changes to both make a huge difference. And that's all I'll say on that matter.

If I lay my D/Ts end to end I find it very hard to find a gap.
Maybe another dry lane ball, with a little stronger core than the Barrage.
I have at least 1-2 balls I can use on most conditions.

How about a Thing returns coverstock on a vendetta core? A really nice mid range pearl ball?

No....I LOVE the idea that Leftyhi-trak has:  A high RG verson of the Crisis!!!  I think this would be a great ball...something to compete with the Sonic X, etc. for a dry lane ball.

i want the element cover on some sort of modified thing core.. o wait i still just wish i had money for the anomaly.  But seriously Phil is a bowling god so i know he can make it for me.. i want a very very mild reactive cover (maybe pearl but i like the solid control, so just polished is the preference) with a medium strenght core, Vendetta core maybe? Something that would hook as little or less than the barrage and hit like the vendetta.. I ask for this b/c i use to play straiter up and not give the ball the revs so much.. now that i can get more on the ball I can't find anything that lets me play strait.. i just drilled a too hot with and 11 o clock pin position to see if that will do it.. but its not really what i wanted so i would still buy another that is really designed for this.  so yeah basicly what i am asking for is a ball with plastic strenght reactive cover ( still need that tiny little bit of late bite) that will go long and barely turn over, and still hit. can it be done? you would sell a tone of these from what i see. sling blades, hot rods, sonic X's all flying around as dry balls and most ppl say they need less ball once they get one.  PRETTTY PLEASE PHIL?
