Hey everyone,
I'm anxiously awaiting my first season of using Dyno gear. Here's what I've got:
Anomaly (polished)
Au79
Thing
Thing Returns
I have a few other balls as well, but those the Dyno's. Anyhow, The Anomaly, with this drilling and prep, is great for moving very deep and opening up the lane. The Thing seems to be a great first ball out of the bag for the THS and the Thing Returns, with its drilling and a flatter release, appears to be my go-to ball for lighter patterns where I want to play straighter. That brings me to the Au79. I haven't really figured this one out yet. It can be used from deep inside, like the Anomaly, but, being a pearl, it doesn't seem to like to be made to cover all of those boards. On the other hand, when I try to play more from the middle and just stroke the ball, it checks up a bit early and tends to go through the beak. After pondering whether or not this is a ball that I want to keep or not, it hit me: could this be my go-to ball when the heads start to go away but there's some carrydown? My initial inkling is yes. After all, the pearl coverstock should get it through the heads but with the way that it revs up in the mids and continues through the backends it seems like it would laugh at normal carrydown. Has anyone else tried this ball on this condition? I always thought that my Diesel Particle Pearl was the only ball that would shine on that condition. Now I'm thinking that the Au79, if played a bit straighter could be golden on that shot. What do you guys think?

Bowling is without a doubt the dumbest, most pointless, most idiotic excuse for a game that has ever been invented. So, what time are we bowling tomorrow?
