Looking at the core, it looks like an updated version of the Crash/Voodoo.

same core as before, tweaked the densities due to the strength of the cover stock.

Nope, still the Storm Bolt/SkyBolt series core. It's very similar looking to the Messenger (or Crash/VooDoo/Mojo) base core.

The picture certainly looks more like the Track lightbulb core picture than the (Storm) lightbulb core pictures they used before, even if it really is the same core as before.

I have been throwing mine more and more...its 4-1/2 x 3 with a hole on my VAL (i think id have to look again)

gets through the heads VERY clean...but it has a very strong roll on the backend, it doesnt make a real big move, but it does roll very nicely through the pins, with a "hockey stick" type reaction.  Im guessing once i get some more games on it, it will come alive and start to make a bigger move on the backend.  At least that is what i have come to understand about this soaker cover.

Im hoping to put a video together this weekend!

I think looks can be deceiving.  If you look at the pictures from when Storm was pouring the Dynothane balls, they looked like Storm balls.  Now that Columbia is pouring the Dynothane balls, the pictures look like Columbia balls.  Someone suggested when the first Element was introduced the core was from the Bolt series and Phil (newguy) was adamant that the design was original.

If you look at the specs on the voodoo/crash....very very close. I'm sure its still a great ball. I loved my crash.
