Label drilling matchup
« on: July 22, 2004, 11:01:25 PM »
I'm looking to replace an original Cuda/C in my bag.  It's drilled close to a 3 3/8x5 label leverage type drilling.  I like the length and turn it has, just a little squirty in today's oils.

I'm a higher track stroker/tweener, 16mph... I've been looking at the Thing Returns or the new Vendetta Pearl (as well as a Columbia Detour) to put a label leverage drilling on.  Do either of these 2 (or 3 if you have a Detour opinion) make more sense to fill in my gap?

I have no idea what the cuda/c did but i had a detour that was drilled with the pin high above the ring finger about 2 inches and this ball gets down the lane and makes a hard move to the pocket.  Pretty angular.

Any other opinions for a the better ball for a label drilling (Vendetta Pearl vs. Thing Returns) for a higher track, lower rev bowler.  The ratings on the dynothane website where similar for these two.

Thanks!

The cuda/c was a medium RG, high DIFF. solid with a medium aggressive coverstock by todays standards. I would just research the ball companies to get as close as possible. As with the vendetta and thing returns you'll get more of an angular reaction because they are pearls. Both companies make a solid version of each which might be a little less squirty in the oil.
