Drilling Suggestions for "The Thing"
«

Just purchased a 16 lb. Thing with 2.76 top and a 5"-5 1/2" pin. Any suggestions for drilling this ball to handle medium conditions with some carry down. Thanks

We need to know where you want to play, inside of it or around it...

Can do it either way, but would prefer to go around it. Been throwing a H2O, but the carrydown has given me a little problem the last couple of weeks. Decided to try something a little stronger. Thanks

Try a pin above fingers/on grip line 135 degree layout. Good for length on inside inside lines, should give you a nice hook-stop-forward roll reaction.
