Pin over or pin under

I have a thing returns 5 x 3 pin over ring with a x hole on my pap. Im getting a thing lives to complment it i want it to have a decent amount of back end on it. Should i put the pin over ring again like 5 x 3 pattern or put the pin uder the ring 5x4 ???

my pap is 5.5> and 1/2^ what should i use like 5 x 4 ?

Putting the pin under will make the ball start-up earlier by lowering the RG value of the ball...this will also make the ball arc a little bit more.  Pin up will increase the RG value...so a little more length and backend.  The Thing Lives out of the box will hook more in oil than your Thing Returns so you could let he coverstock be the difference between the two.  What I would do is leave the weight hole out of the ball till you throw it side by side with your TR and then decide where you want the hole to go.

hrm ok well if i put a flare increasing X hole on the thing Lives with at 5x3 pattern would it flare over the x hole ???
