This month's Bowlers Journal has an advertisement for the Pure Energy. Apparently they have added particles to the Soaker Coverstock.

This was touched on earlier:

Ball is still slated for the end of this month / early September.
Considering how much the High Energy hooks it will be interesting to see how the particle coverstock'd version will compare to it.

I hear that asymmetrical core ball is on D/T's cards....
In my opinion, D/T need to come up with something strong like the equivalent of Track GP2, Blue Heat, Columbia EPX etc.
D/T releases some fantastic balls but they are only great for medium/dry oil. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this 50% of the wannabes out there are release challenged.
I question your statements.
Several DT balls can easily be used by fluffers up to medium-heavy oil. 99.99% of bowlers never see true heavy oil anyway. In any case, sand a Maxx or similar DT ball to 400 grit like a Goliath and it will act like a Goliath.
Besides half the fluffers out there using balls like a GP2 or an Ultimate Inferno, are having it roll out in the midlane and can't see that anyway.

Bowling: Just like hand grenades and horse shoes, you only have to get close.
Life: Deal with what is.

hallelujah.....I've been saying that for years balls hook so early that you can't even see the motion and it's viewed by the bowler as a non hooking ball. Thus we make balls that are strong enough for most conditions but perceived as a medium ball.
