question...
« on: July 25, 2004, 11:15:43 AM »
I have shot numbers with all my Vendettas (Black, pearl and particle). my question is why hasn't the core design of this series been changed. I know know the covers are different which is most important but by having the same core design wouldn't the balls have same overall motion down the lane?

Don't get me wrong this is not a POP SHOT it's just a question.

Changing the core, and cover, wouldnt that be basically changing the whole line, into a new one? Think about it, a lot of ball lines have the same core. Look at the x-factor line.

only 3 X-factors have the same core not 5 balls. Don't get me wrong the Vendetta core is a great one very smooth rolling with a strong backend.

I think new guy really wants to be able to offer a full line which use the same core with different covers. If I remember correctly, he has said earlier in this forum that the shape of the Vendetta core is one of few core shapes which fit with different coverstocks.

It's tough to mess around with success. Bowlers who purchase a Vendetta, especially after having one, expect a certain reaction. The Vendetta line creats a complete line of reactions using different shells,..which like the other lines makes ball selection a breeze...

I was talking to Fred Borden this weekend, and he is coming out with a line of
4 balls. The cores are the same, but the coverstocks are different. Basically he is
saying that people need to be taught to adjust with minimal equipment. He said that newguy has the best approach of all the ball makers out there. Fred is a really nice guy, and very knowledgable. His ball line is the Legends the first ball is THE NEW STANDARD. Hope this helps..
