plaque. 298 is an awesome game, but for some reason it just doesnt seem right to have it on a ring.

I get nothing but rings now.  I have a box full of old plaques and what not...really would you ever put them on the wall?  I keep my rings up on a shelf...along with the a 300 watch that I decided to get for some odd reason.

When I first started bowling my goal was to get one of every award they offered. 900 was unheard of at the time. I'd get the ring, than a plaque if it happens again.

Is the watch an option?

I don't wear rings, but I would wear the watch I got for an honor score every friggin day...

I wear my 298 ring rather than a 300 ring.  I left a pocket 7 - 10 for the 298 and the ring reminds me that Humbaba can (and will) laugh at us all.

Maybe if you'd drink a really strong martini you could knock of it off the teeth.  Just a suggestion.  Hum, a martini sounds kinda good!!!!

i think the plaque is better, it can go on the wall for everyone to see, the rings are okay, but i would go with plaques, i have already lost one of my 300 rings. but i still got plaques from when i was a little boy.  ultimately its your decision.
when i shoot any more honor scores it will be plaques from now on.  keep up the good shooting,

just out of curiosity, is the first ring for a 299 in siladium free?  i am filling out the paperwork today and was just wondering.

Yes, you can get a free saladium ring for the first of each honor score bowled during a single season.  So if you where to shot another 299 this year you would only get a cheap little certificate from ABC and the option to buy a ring at your expense.

Thing I've thought was "odd" about the logic is say a person shoots the more typical cycle for the year: 298.299.300.800 they get four rings.  But a person that shoots 4 - 300's in a year only gets one?  I know the current method saves them some money in the long run, but I still thought it was "odd" for some reason.
