The Barrage
« on: November 28, 2003, 02:06:12 AM »
I need some help, is the Barrage a good ball for dry lanes. I bowl traveling league in East Texas and the lanes start off dry and get worse. I mostly bowl with a Track code red critical mass and an Ebonite werewolf. But i'm needing a ball that is suited for dry lanes and enexpensive, but with decent hitting power. Thanks  Robert

It depends on what YOU mean by "dry" lanes. Everyone's take on it seems to be different.

Tell us what balls you have used on these "dry" lnaes, how they are drilled and how they reacted. Then we can give you a better idea.

In general the Barrage will work on dry-ish to medium-light oil patterns. How you use it, how you throw it, how you drill it will all help determine how well you can use it on your version of "dry" lanes.

Obie and charlesT,

I bowled that Travel League when I lived in Nacogdoches.  Mostly burned up old wood houses, though some may have changed to synthetics.

The Barrage is a great dry lane ball in my opinion.  Our number one seller right now for that catagorie.  Storm Barbed Wire and Roto Grip Sonic X Solid are pretty good also.  All in the lower to mid price range.  My wife has a Barrage, and it works really well for her, hits pretty good.

Obie, I think you would like this ball.  Should go longer than your Code Red and Werewolf.

Hope this helps ya....
