Drilling suggestions for Dyno arsenal
« on: May 07, 2004, 12:21:59 AM »
Hey everyone,

Most of my arsenal is going to be Dyno, so I'm hoping that some of you guys who have used their stuff can recommend good drillings for the conditions that I want to use the following balls on. I am a right handed power stroker who can crank the ball up when I need to. I track very high (no more than 1-1.5" from fingers), and I throw about 16-17.5 mph usually. Here are the balls that I'm going to have, and the conditions that I want to use them for:

Flood: Sanded Anomaly
Heavy: Element
Medium: Thing
Lighter: Thing Returns

I realize that some would suggest other balls for the conditions that I have listed, but please just work with me and tell me how you would set up these particular balls for these conditions. Thanks in advance for the help.

Bowling is without a doubt the dumbest, most pointless, most idiotic excuse for a game that has ever been invented. So, what time are we bowling tomorrow?

Thing Returns for lighter oil?!!

Well, yes, my instinct is to recommend a different ball.  But if you must use it, I'd have to recommend a real lengthy drilling... most likely with the pin on the negative side of your grip.

Without knowing your PAP, think about putting the pin below your middle finger with the CG on the positive side or in the center of your grip.  That should get the ball down the lane and get the ball to recover plenty.

I'd drill the Thing pretty medium.  Maybe with the pin next to your ring finger and the CG inside your grip.

The others I'd drill strong, stacked leverage or so.  You can adjust the reaction with polish.

Just some quick thoughts.
