Question about the energy
« on: February 04, 2005, 12:30:31 AM »
Hello all, I am getting the new Dyno ball the Energy. My current arsenal is Anomoly/Thing lives(heavy oil), Element/Thing(medium). My question is will the Energy fit below the Element for medium light oil. I have an original Crisis coming for dry also. Anybody that has thrown the Energy please give me some feedback. I realize I may have to polish the Energy up a bit also. Thanks for the help my Dyno mates.

The Energy will be alot similary to the Thing, but with less midlane roll.  I would expect it to be medium for clean backends and inside angles.  Also, the original Crisis is great on tricky patterns but not that great on dry or burned lanes.  It just has a smooth hook, not so much a skid/flip.  If you want skid flip go Crisis Pearl, now THERE is a hockey stick!

I don't (yet) have the Energy, so I can't give you the benefit of any real-world experience.  Based on their specs, I'd agree with UNObowler that the Energy should go a bit longer than the Thing, and have a more angular look to it on the backend.

I do, however, own the Crisis, and unless you throw the ball a hundred miles per hour, you're going to have to slap some polish on that baby to use it on anything close to dry lanes.

The Crisis is not a dry lanes ball.  If you really bowl on the dry, you should swap it for a Barrage.
