It's been said that the Soaker is stronger than other companies equivalent balls. I've heard this on here for a while now. Something about the Soaker additive makes these balls stronger overall and possibly even earlier.

But what does that mean?

That a Pearlized Soaker Resin is stronger than other companies regular Pearlized Resin's? Or that a Pearlized Soaker Resin is stronger (or as strong as) than other companies regular Solid Resin's?

Some will say that even some of Brunswick's Pearlized Resin balls are more like polished Solid Resin's instead of pure Pearlized Reactive Resin's... so I was wondering if this may be close to the same case with DYNO THANE???

I'd guess that Soakers are more like Enhanced Super-Flex, earlier and hooks more, but not by huge amounts, but enough for your eyes to easily see and your feet and target need some adjusting. GOO/M80 is even earlier and stronger than Soaker and Enh SF, another class of resin, so to speak.

No, I (personally) would not say that pearl Soakers are stronger than other comapny's resin solids. (based on experience with a Thing, an Element and an AU79)

Activator, and Mo's Enhanced C4 (and to a small extent Monsoon) are all different and in different ways from Soaker, Enhanced SF, and GOO/M80.

It's my understanding that the SOAKER has less to do with hook and length and more to do with durability, in that the ball will be more consistent shot to shot due to the additive.

We need NEW GUY or OTHER GUY to give a definitive answer here ............

Ric,

Besides Jim's funny retort, there is no need to know what was done. As a bowler, you (and I) ONLY need to know how they react. There are no secrets here or in the Activator cover. Your eyes tell you all you need to know. Phil has said Soaker's purpose is longevity. Fine. I like that. Who wouldn't? The fact that it seems a little stronger than your average resin coverstock is neither bad nor good (well, mostly good). It just is, a fact that one takes into consideration in the use of these balls. (Plus it seems Phil generally uses stronger cores in his stronger coverstock.) If you need weaker and you want more DYNOTHANE, you go "down" to the Vendettas or the Crisis line.
