Anomaly is awesome!!!!

I just picked up a used Anomaly off of ebay two months ago.  It was 15lb (I'm not sure what the top weight was) with a 3-4 inch pin.  I didn't like the original layout of it, which had the pin above the middle and ring finger.  So I had my local pro shop, Sports Plus-Carmen Don, to place the pin below my middle and ring finger and with the span and finger pitches that I'm comfortable with.  I also put a little polish on it so that it could retain more energy down the lane.

I bowled three games yesterday on medium heavy-heavy oil conditions.  I'm a down-and-in player, and this ball does a really nice arc to the pocket.  The soaker coverstock really moves well on oil.  What I like about this ball is that it doesn't overreact. I ended up getting a 226-190-232.  This ball will definitely be on my Wednesday Night Mixed League lineup this fall.

Have any of you had similar success with the Anomaly??

I very much liked my polished Anomaly. The ball was great for going inside on medium to medium-heavy. The worst move that I made was knocking the shine off to see what it would do. I polished it back up shortly thereafter but never got it back to the way it was. If you like it polished, keep it that way. You'll continue to love it. Just don't mess around with a good thing.

My pro shop had to resurface the ball, which took the polish off.  I tried it without the polish, and I hated it.  So I took some Meguiar's car polish, which shines it up at gives it a tacky cover.  Ball was even better than out of box condition.
