Most drilling instructions for all ball manufactures are generic in content.
What they all are saying is that if you drill a ball using the core angles recommended, the results should normally come out a certain way... The drilling for the D/T and Storm instructions are close,..some of the verbage varies, but the layouts are simple basics...Some are more detailed, for example Ebonite and Brunswick get pretty technical, and go into more detail and depth, but all are saying the same thing,..."if you position the core this way, in reference to your grip, your ball should do this",...drill sheets are a guide for customers and pro shops. Remember that ball weight, surface, top weights, hole depths, balance holes, ball speed, revolutions and lanes conditions all have to be also taken into consideration...and did I mention axis and tilt,..other than that drilling and layouts are simple.
