I got it the ball measured today and the span is 1/4 too long aswell, i havent used it since then untill i needed it and i got this....

That's odd...does he always utilize wide bridges?  Some shops do since they are concerned over warranty issues, etc.  Believe it or not I've seen a bridge over 1/2" that was brought into our shop.  I would ask the driller to fix it unless it's not uncomfortable to you...then I would atleast bring it to his attention.  Not knowing what his other mistake is or how it was handled I'm not too sure about going to another driller, but it sounds like it might be warranted.

I kinda like my bridge almost that wide. 1/4" long on span sucks though.

I had a span drilled an inch to short once.  Yup, 1 whole inch.  He said he would have to order another ball, and have it ready the next week.  I said, I would still take the ball, if he gave to me for his cost.  He happily complied.  So, I had him plug it and re-drill.  Doesn't hurt the ball at all.  I suggest trying to get the balls at cost.  Then decide what you want to do with the balls from there.
