Surprisingly, I would drill them similarly with the exception of the Barrage, which I would tend to drill 5x5 or thereabouts. Otherwise, a higher flare good length drilling works very well on all. (Basically 4.5x4 or 4x4.5.). For my style, I tend to put the pins below the ring finger and kick the CGs right so that a line drawn through the CG and the pin would run about 1/8 to 1/4 inch outside the right edge of the thumbhole. This tends to give me (with some modification of thumb and fingerweight) the length I want, mellows the flare some, but still allow them all to turn the corner. The difference in reaction becomes the difference in coverstock and core rather than the drill.
FYInformation I've owned: a Barrage, three Vendettas (four different drill patterns), a Vendetta solid, three Elements (four different drill patterns)(my favorite ball), a Thing, and two Vendetta particles (three drill patterns). I still keep two Elements, two Vendettas and one of everything else. Oh, and the Soaker coverstock is the best on the market. Period.
