What would you like to see next?
« on: February 28, 2006, 06:17:58 AM »
What core, cover combo would you like to see next in the D/T line?
What do you D/T drivers think we need in the current line. Here's your opertunity to sound off, but be realistic.

a. coverstock
b. core
c. low, med or high rg
d. low, med or high rg diff
e. color combo

Based off the drillings I have one the two, (almost being the same) there appears to be little for the naked eye to see. TR a tad longer, tad sharper. But a definite overlap MHO.

And your opin BY?

Well if there is overlap than I resort back to my original opinion...

The one that I have is 16, but I'm still tempted to throw it.

I vote for the Thing Returns to... uh.. well return of course. I absolutely love it. My Zr40 has a slightly different drilling but is definitely stronger and not near as long as my Thing Returns. I'd love to get a second TR.... maybe  the TR core in the Zr40's cover. In my humble opinion, my TR carried better than my ZR does.... especially on slightly off hits. Dunno if this was a function of the core more or what but it did. Maybe if I polish my Zr I can get the length, but we'll have to see about the hit.

PS-I definitely wouldn't give up my first born (I love the little guy too much!) for another TR, but I'd come pretty close....

Though I do not have a Zr-40 myself, the only one's I've seen thrown seemed to have more overall hook and an earlier read than my thing returns.  I can't even compare a ball that has rolled so well for me, exept the vendetta black solid.  When I couldnt find a thing returns I was considering the Zr-40 but felt it was too agressive.  Kinda like the idea of the TR core with the Zr's cover though

Vendetta core in a half-pearl, half solid reactive coverstock.

I would want to see:

a: Energy Cover
b: CM Type Core
C: High-Med RG
d: High Diff

There is not a very good pearl Asym. on the market right now.  The "Awesome Flip" is coming out from Morich, but I still believe there is a "whole" in that technology.  I understand it is hard to put an Asym Core in a pearl shell, but I'm sure Phil could figure it out.  It would be a great compliment to the CM.  And, I'm looking for a Med Oil ball to compliment it as we speak.  A Vedetta Core with a SOlid soaker would be a nice replacement for the Vendetta Black also.

Hey Brenton, If you buy a CM and sand it down, it would handle just as much oil as the PE IMHO.  I'm a speed dominant player myself, and I have no problems with the CM in the soup.

Since so many people are talking about the TR, what about the TR Cover with a weaker version of the CM Core for a Long and Strong Asym to compliment the CM?  It might be the best of both worlds?

I'd like to see a Vendetta core in ATC pearl (Gold and Royal purple blend)Call it the Grudge or something to let people know it is a spin off the Vendetta,
and Soaker XTC solid on an Energy Core (Bright Yellow and Orange combo, a sort of fireball look) They could call it the Radiant Energy.

Like both ideas...just had to throw out some differing names.

Nuclear Energy, Fusion, Synergy

All great names with the exception of one.

Black Vendetta Cover with the Centrifugal Mass core.  For color combo, I'd have to go with a navy blue and dark purple mix, woth silver engraving.  I think they would have themselves a great ball there.  Strong and smooth with a ton of options.

I'd like to see the vendetta core with a Soaker coverstock(either pearl or solid/pearl blend).
I also would like to see a pearl Anomaly, but I think the diff. might be a bit too high under current rules.

Maybe I'm just being technical, but it wouldn't be the Black Vendetta cover if it was a mix of colors as the resins would likely be slightly different, right?

Anyway...

I'd like to see
Cover: Soaker XTC
Core: Energy
Low RG
High Differential
Yellow/Black

I have my opinion, now I want yours. Do the Thing Returns and the Zr40 overlap much?

They do for me... I get the same length but my TR had the cg kicked out a little farther though so a little bit more snap off the dry... I am certain they would be very close if drilled exactly.

Just got an e-mail from the other guy, he's at an undiscolosed location near Area 51 testing the next two new releases. What a job, bowling ball "Skunk Works"wonder if he gets paid for it? Or is it all the resin sniffing he can handle? (rolling my eyes)
