Hey All;
This ball is the best Apex For length and back end. The Big Bang Shell is cleaner threw the fronts with the aggressiveness of the Big Easy Shell on the back. The core on the ball will be more driller freindly (as I thought the core's in the first two Apex's where easy to lay out) as they removed the light bulb fused core, allowing the bowler to use the whole gambit of drills.
I drilled mine with the folowing drill. Drawing a line between the Pin and the Bomb, I went 2" down from the pin, 2 " left was the center of grip, went 6" right with the weight hole. Typical 12:00 leverage.
What I like about this ball is I can move as far left as I want and not have the ball stop at a weak angle. Earlier Apex's had limitations on how far I could move in and still carry.
Most of the time I go to league and just pull out whatever I feel like throwing, because all of my Ebonite stuff works just fine, but this Apex Adrenaline will be the first thing out of the bag. This ball hits so well, that I carry a few more shots with the strength of the ball. Can hardly wait to see whats next. Great job Ebonite  Tony

Another great ball from Brian Pursel and the gang at Ebonite.  I drilled the Adrenaline with a 4-1/2*4-1/2 with the bomb in the strong position. I was really impressed with the length the ball gave me and then once it reads the end of the pattern the ball goes left.  Where this ball shines is when my 6 inch apex just won't turn the corner, this ball will and has no problem turning the corner.  Great ball on your typical house wall, I could  play anywhere on lane except for up the dry.  This is another great ball added to the Apex line, and the Ebonite family.  Bowl 2 Win

Wow, what a ball.

We just received our striking effects program ball and drilled it for a teammate.  This bowler’s prefers to go down and in, but has the ability to bell the ball in need.  He has more of a spinner style. This bowler has used all the balls in the Apex line and this is by far the best one that we have seen.  The Intensity hooked earlier than the Adrenaline and was more controlled.  The Reflex goes longer down the lane than the Adrenaline but with similar movement to the pocket..

The Adrenaline was laid out with the bomb on the Vertical Axis line, with the CG about 3 1/2" from his axis, and the pin right beside his ring finger. We left it in the box condition to see what this ball was going to do. He has used the bowl on both first shift and second shift lane conditions, and the second shift condition tends to be too dry for this bowler up the lane style.  On the first shift lane condition the Adrenaline cleaner the heads with ease and then rev up in the middle lane and when this ball makes it move, look out.

This new core/coverstock combination is excellent and is another great ball, not only because it is an Apex, but it compliments both the other Apex’s.

Our teammate shot 780 last night with this ball and immediately, there was 3 or 4 people in the shop asking about the ball.

The APEX Adrenaline rounds out the Apex line!

We put (8) of theses puppies on the lanes today and we drilled
one for ourselves to try out and see if it equals up the the first two Apex's!
We used the #1. Drilling pattern, as suggested in the Ebonite Adrenaline drilling sheet. this drilling provides for a smooth ARC style hook and we left the ball with its "Out-of-the-box" finish and went to the lanes to give this one a test drive! With the new "Big Bang" Particle,(Pearlized) cover stock, we hoped it would provide a little more length than the Reflex & Intensity Apex's.

On a typical top hat house condition, we found right away that this ball had excellent gripping action and control.
When the ball hit the break point, it was a "Strong & Continuous"
hook to the pocket! even with the weaker drilling this ball
had no problem turning the corner!

Hitting Power? Tremendous!!! As we have seen from the first two Apex's
The Adrenaline was able to play inside and outside lines with no problem
of reading the lanes and turning up strong!

We went back to the Proshop for a light shine with "Black Magic"
to see if we could extend the length and still get a strong hook!
This APEX did not disappoint us! we were able to get an additional
amount of length and a even bigger hook and finish!

We believe this APEX will work well for many bowlers and if you are one of those first APEX users, you MUST get this One!

We Highly Recommend this ball to all bowlers
and believe it will help you conquer those Medium to Oil
lane conditions with Power to spare!

The Adrenaline is a great addition to the Apex line. It gets through the heads easily and converts into a pin crusher at the back end. Mine is drilled with a the pin 5 1/2 inches from the PAP and the bomb at app.65 degrees. I was able to use this ball out of the box going 20 to 10 and get it back with great hitting power. For a Senior bowler to be able to throw a ball of particle configuration on this line is great.

Just wanted to say a few things about maybe the most unique ball I have ever drilled, and I have drilled a few in my day. I have two of these balls and love the reaction that they both give me. The first one I drilled was my favorite drilling, 4.5 inch pin and the CG was about 4 inches from my PAP. It gave me excellent length without over skiding, and it made a strong move without over hooking. The cover on this ball makes it able to fill almost any hole in your arsenal. This ball gave me such a look as it went into the pins that I had to drill another one to compliment the 1st. This ball I wanted to use for a night block ball and I proceeded to drill it to go a bit longer for dryer conditions.I drilled the pin about 5.5 inches from my PAP and the CG about 5 inches, and it did exactly that. People this ball is for real drill it with your favorite drilling and you will be amazed.

Drilled this up for a young man who has a normal game of up the 10 board.  He was getting disgusted with his bowling and wanted a change.   Set the ball up with the pin just outside the ring finger and bomb below and in line with the thumb.  Cg was offset enough had to drill a balance hole 6 inches over and take out about 1/2 oz.  Spent about 2 hours with him teaching him how to get under and roll the ball off of the inside of his hand.  Took instruction well.   By the end of 2 hours he was playing the 4th arrow.  Totally amazed.  Had never entered his mind that he could play left of the second arrow.  Now to the ball.  The box surface was too much on a typical house shot oiled 36 feet, once he began to get on to turning the ball with some revs.  Hit the ball with some Black Magic (3 times) til breakpoint had moved into a playable area.  Once we got enough shine on the ball, it started to do its thing.  Had to turn the lanes off, he was having so much fun.  Impression....ball in box condition too strong for a medium to dryer condition.  Shine it and it gets down the lane well.  Conclusion.....If I knew I was going to play 4th arrow or deeper would drill one of these, polish it up and go get 'em.

I drilled this ball 3-3/4 inch pin, with the bomb 3/4 inch right of the VAL. Extra hole 6 inches from grip center on the mid line.
WOW! I thought my intensity was strong, this ball goes thru the heads easy and is very continuous. With my limited hand I can get almost any ball to quit with this ball I had to extremely open the lane to get it to even slow down. Tweeners and straight players will love this ball. Power players will polish it unless they have 75 to 90 degree axis rotation or alot of oil. This ball also reads synthetic lanes better than any particle ball I have thrown to date.

Ebonite has diffently come up with another winner.  This ball is just simply awesome.  Watched a lefty through one the night I picked mine up and was impressed with the reaction and length he had. In talking with him discovered his  ball had been set up in a similar drilling to that of my new Adrenaline. My Ball was drilled with bomb at 70 dgrees, and  4 x 4 drill with cg stacked under pin.  Under normal house pattern, setup in a christmas tree pattern.  Ball gives excellent length and has exceptiional recovery without overreaction on backend.  Ball gets through the heads and midlane very smoothly.  The hitting power and carry is unbelievable.   In the two sessions i have had with this ball, I can count on two hands the pocket shots that have not carried.  Ten pins are almost nonexistent.   If I could eliminate the pilot errors I can see some big scores with this fine piece of equipment.  I would like to thank Jr. at JR'S Drill Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan for this great drilling.  Thanks JR.

I had just read "Bowling This Month" (an excellent bowling magazine by the way, for the serious and not so serious bowlers) and got through reading their reviews of the latest balls released.  My buddy, Bobby Orebaugh, who manages the local Plamor bowling center and pro shop, told me that night he had just gotten one of the Adrenalines in and wanted to know if I wanted one drilled up.  I told him to drill it stacked and I would throw it in league that night...

Out of the box, in the Super Classic League, I managed to throw 33 out of 36 possible strikes for games and series of 300-259-298/ 857 to set a new city record! The only bad pitch was the last ball where I felt like a rookie going for his first 300 game.  Choke, did you say.....I'm afraid so.

This ball hits and carries EVERYTHING and accentuates Bo Burton's adage of "ten in the pit"!! I've been bowling a long time and it doesn't get better than this.

Haven't played with it any in getting it polished but from what I have read in the reviews, this ball shines well with its same explosive carry.  That's next on my agenda....I'll let you know how that goes.

All I can say about this ball is .....WOW. This is a very impressive ball probably the most aggresive ball I have thrown in sometime.I drilled this with a ^ inch pin no hole. This ball still was to much for our very of a sport pattern here at home . Polished up this cleaned the front very well and still made a very aggressive move on the back. It is a keeper!!! I can find myself drilling up atleast one more !!

Follow up to 1/29/02 review.  I think my 170 average bowler is hooked.  He shot his first 700 with the Adrenaline after only two outings.  He was fairly accurate but just didn't have any hit on the ball.   The ball, after some polishing with Black Magic, seems to be giving him the finish or hit on the ball that he needed.  Haven't thrown one myself but definitly will have one the next tournament I go to where I feel like I need something to play inside

I drilled the new Apex Adrenaline on a Friday, did not throw any practice with it, and took off for a tournament in Rainbow Lanes outside of Jefferson City, Missouri.  I threw it a couple times in qualifying on fill balls, and liked what I saw, but I did not really need a particle ball just yet. The next day, when there was more oil and very spotty backends, I pulled the Adrenaline out of the bag the last game, and shot 300 throwing over the left gutter. I went from being 106 pins behind, to one pin in the lead. The ball was drilled pin 4 inches from my axis, bomb was under my thumb, 1:30 drill. ball surface was box finish, then lightly shined. Lanes condition was outside 8 on both sides -hang. outsides played long , insides played shorter with spotty recovery to the right. When reactive and other particle balls seemed to go to long, and may not make a move at all , The Adrenaline was smooth through the fronts, and made a  pronounced move when no other ball I had would define the break. I drilled this ball much stronger than I would any other particle ball, and it does not blow up early at all on any decent amount of head oil. Very readable, smooth, yet strong back end.  A couple of these with different drills and surfaces would take most other particle balls out of the starting arsenal.Looks great also!

Watch out!!! This ball may hook out the bowling alley.  I tried throwing this ball (box condition) on a second shift league shot, and the ball hooked too much.  I bagged the Adrenaline and finished my games with the Erase-It.

After scuffing the Adrenaline to 600 grit to tame this beast I returned to the lanes the next day.  The lanes were similar to the previous day, however now the Adrenaline had a nice arcing hook to the pocket.  The carry with the ball is amazing.  The Adrenaline is the perfect compliment to the Intensity and the Reflex.  If you don't like to hook the ball, avoid the Adrenaline.
You will not see me on the PBA Tour, but I love the game!!!
